I took this picture for the moods assignment. this was taking in my bathroom so i could poor water down my face. i put on a ton of makeup and smeared it to make it look really creepy. In this picture i intensified my red lips and dark makeup. I also made my eyes a more bright green to make them pop. i took this picture with my macro lens.

Rachel Ebio-Textured Reflection

I took this picture a few weeks ago while I visiting college campuses. I edited this in photoshop by using a wooden texture layer then using the color burn layer then the brightness and contrast layer. I love how abstract this looks.

Hayley H-Birthday Candle

I shot this photo on my birthday back in September. I took it with my new camera I got that day. To edit it, I adjusted the exposure and brought out the orangey color of the flame. I also added an overlay layer and made the area outside of the flame darker so it stands out. 

Johb S- Burning Door

I took this photo in Cullman about a month ago. I cropped and painted burning edges I also made it black and white and the aded a gradient fill to the photo. I think that i could have more of the door in the photo and i like the burring look. 

Savannah F- Thanksgiving Beach

I took this picture at the beach over Thanksgiving break. I actually took this with my phone. I did all the basic edits and thats really it. I really just liked how the shadows of the sand looked and how empty the beach was and the color of the ocean.

I took this picture around the beginning of this school year for the website picture and i just edited it. To edit it i composted a picture of clouds and lights into it. After that, i played with the saturated colors and i think it turned out pretty cool!

I took this picture on Morris Avenue of my friend Stephanie with my Rebel xs. To edit it I adjusted the curves, brightness, and contrast in Photoshop.

Paige R- Pencils

I took this picture in my bedroom actually. The flash was on so it made the background black. This was for the circles assignment. Although i don't think this picture is very original, i like it. i also burned the ends of the pencils to make the colors and texture more drastic.

Graham S- Hot Air Balloon

This is a picture I took at a place called Parkwood by Lake Cyrus. I saw the hot air balloon in the distance and waited for it to get close enough to take a good picture. To edit it, I put a black and white mask on it and messed with the different color levels. I then brought the color back to the hot air balloon. I think this picture turned out pretty well.

I took this picture in the French Quarter of New Orleans over the Thanksgiving break. Behind the St. Louis cathedral, there were several lemon trees in pots in the church garden. I liked the way the sun was angled on them, so I took a few pictures. To edit it, I adjusted the levels by darkening some of the highlights and raising the contrast. 

Ellie W - Necklaces Recycled

I took this photo for the earth, metal, and water project. I took it at this antique picker's place called B. Robinson Trading Co. It is a bunch of necklaces recycled from other old antique necklaces on a mannequin. I thought it was a really cool shot because the sun was shining through the window onto the necklaces perfectly. I added a texture onto the photo and played with the shadows and highlights. 

MorganAnn C- Colored face

I took this picture for the high key low key project and played around with it some. I used a filter to change it and added more satuartion to it. I really like the way it came out, especially the eye.

I took this picture two weeks ago of my metallic black Converse. I edited it in Photoshop using a red gradient fill and multiple filters not too many because I didn't want to get rid of the metallic sheen the shoes have.

This photo was taken in Ross Brigde and I changed the eye color to blue then added a black and white filter. I really like the look of the eyes, i wish i could have made them come out some more. It was taken about 3 months ago.

I took his picture for the High Key Low Key project. I really like the way some of her features stand out while others look pretty good washed out. I took this with the studio lights and the backdrop, I also changed it with curves and changed the levels.

Hayley H- Flamingos

I took this photo over the summer at the New Orleans zoo. I think flamingos are very pretty so I took tons of pictures of them. This was the best one. I adjusted the exposure and the hue saturation to make the pink and reds stand out. I also put on a warming filter.

I took this is Chattanooga at some park downtown. I though the animals and water was pretty. I wish it hadn't been rainy that day so the sky would look prettier. But i really like this picture.

I took this picture at the Hoover Lake House for a memorial service. I edited it in photoshop using the the levels and curves layer with a deep red gradient fill layer. Hayley said I should make it a fountain of blood so here it is.

I shot this at Pepper Place in downtown Birmingham a few weeks ago also. It was outside this garden shop. Its a flower floating in some water that was in a fountain that they had there. I boosted the midtone contrast wayyy up on this one.

This is the one and only Mr.Rigsby. I took this for the low key assignment. i made it black and white and burned a lot of his skin. i tried to bring out his wrinkles. but, i learned, mr.rigsby seriously doesn't have any wrinkles. so i did the best i could by giving his skin more texture.

This is a picture of a white pot my mom bought a couple years ago. I took this picture about a week ago in my driveway. In Photoshop I used curves, color balance and photo filter layer repeatedly. Then I adjusted the levels. I like it because it looks vintage.

Ellie W.- Old Bike Hanging On

I took this photo at Pepper Place in downtown Birmingham about 3 weeks ago when I went there with my mom.  Its just an old bike hanging on a brick wall that has a lot of vines and different plants growing on and around it.  I edited this one by desaturating it and boosting the contrast, saturation and playing with the shadows and highlights.

This is a picture of my friend Caroline's hands. I took this picture one weekend when we were painting for the hands & feet project. I really liked the colors of the paint all swirled together. I brought up the saturation and brought out the orange so it would stand out.

I took this pictures several months ago. This is a wall in downtown birmingham. I usually hate pictures  that are crazy over saturated like this. But this is my only exception. I liked this one super bright.

This is a picture of some old books that were at my grandparents' house. To edit this I adjusted the lighting, curves, and added some filters in Photoshop. I did some more stuff in Photoshop but I don't remember all that I did. This was taken with my Rebel XS.

I took this picture for the hands and feet assignment. I made it black and white and added contrast to it. I all added text to it and warped it on the hand. I really like the contrast in the picture and the way the text looks on it.

This is a picture of my legs I took on my trampoline one night. To edit it, I messed with the exposure and with the colors. I then added a neon glow filter. I really like this picture.

This is a picture of a caterpillar that I took outside my house. I took the picture of the caterpillar because I've never seen a caterpillar like this one and thought it was interesting.

Im embarrassed to say this is my hand. I am 17 and pale. why do my hands look like leather? I took this picture with my macro lens. My hands have some dark paint on my hands. i boosted up the contrast.I also burned the wrinkles and edges to make them stand out more.

  I took these two pictures last year and edited them together this year for the pictures for the site image. I really like this picture because of how the black and white and blurriness of the background contrast wight he clarity and colorfully news of the foreground.

I took this picture with my Rebel xs on my deck. I was supposed to go and take pictures somewhere but it was storming, so I found some old books and took pictures of them. To edit this I cropped it, added some warmth and adjusted the coloring, and adjusted the lighting. 

Hayley H- Rainbow

I took this picture a few weeks when I started shooting for the hands and feet project. The sun was reflecting through a glass table outside and made this cool rainbow. I edited it by lowering the saturation and enhancing the color of the rainbow to make it pop.

I took this photo in downtown Prattville about a month and a half ago while I was at my grandparents house.  I edited the shadows and highlights a lot and increased the contrast and saturation.

I took this picture a little over week ago near where my dad works. Out of all the leaves I saw these were the only dead ones so I took a picture of them. I edited this in Photoshop with brightness/contrast repeatedly and used a warming filter.

For this picture, I took a picture of my friend, and made it black and white. Then I added a picture of a flower and blended it over her face. I used overlay as the blending mode. I also had to clone stamp out some stray hairs on her face.

I took this photo in North Carolina at Deep Creek. i took it early in the morning i edited this pictures by adjusting the levels and making it less bright.

Hayley H- Umbrella

I made this picture for the site image project. The picture of the umbrella was taken at the beginning of the summer at Panama City Beach. This is a composite picture of the umbrella combined with a wooden railing in the background. I adjusted the exposure and levels and also brought out the blues in the sky and the umbrella. 

Graham S- Fishing

This is a picture I took over the summer of my friend Carlyle and myself. I put my camera up on a tree branch and set a timer to take the picture. We were going fishing and we thought that it would be a cool picture. To edit it, all I did was put a black and white filter on it and mess with the color levels. I think this picture would be better if there weren't drink cans all over the ground.
