The image I selected for our first blog image and statement is of a bird shot I took on the Zoo trip this spring. I took it with my Nikon D-40 and made minor tweaks by upping the contrast. I believe the photo could have been better if the bird beak and eyes were more focused and not the wings but overall I was pleased with the way it turned out.

This is such a cute photo! I love how clean the photo look with the feathers. The contrast made the bird look mysterious and cool. Love the photo, keep taking more!
This photo looks really cool. I love how good the quality of the image itself is, and the shadows and light create a great contrast. I also love the angle the bird is at and how its staring directly at the camera/the audience. Nice job!
