Surya P- Ben In The Wild
I took this image at The Birmingham Zoo on the field trip with my Nikon D750. I edited it by cropping it in and editing the colors to be a bit more concentrated. I really like this image because it’s of Mr. Rigsby (the goat) and I really like the title because it’s a play on words.

Caroline S- Lovebirds
The title of my image is Lovebirds and it was taken in the lorikeet enclosure at the Birmingham Zoo. I took it on my Nikon D3100 on April 16th for the photography field trip. I edited it by removing a branch in front of the birds as well as brightening it up a bit. To finish, I cropped it to center the birds, but I think it could have been better if I had captured the bird’s tail and not cut it off.
Hayden C - Sven
This is a photo of my friend’s dog Sven, who is an Australian shepherd. This was taken during a small shoot I did at her house where I photographed her, her dogs, and horses. I wish that he was framed a little better, but overall I enjoy this photo.

Shelby S - Kitty Cat
This photo was taken at the Birmingham Zoo during my last field trip, capturing a leopard in its enclosure surrounded by natural elements. I used my phone camera to get a clear, detailed image, focusing on the leopard’s movement and distinct patterns. I edited the photo by increasing the brightness, contrast, and saturation to enhance the bright colors while keeping the image looking natural. To improve it, I could experiment with different angles or get closer to create a more dynamic composition and stronger focal point.
Rachel N - The Place
This is The Place, it was taken in the ceramics place during field-trip. I don’t know the exact date and place for this photo. It was taken with my Nikon Z5 camera. I edited it by fixing the lighting and the colouring to make it more nostalgic. It could’ve been better if I make the color sharper or crop it a little bit.

Aleli S- Blue Line
I took this photo at the Birmingham Blue Line Banquet on March 10th. I took it when he was singing the national anthem. The room was very dark when I took the photo, but I managed to lighten it up a bit . It appears slightly blue, but I believe it looks much better compared to the original.
Hayden C - In the Eye
This is a photo taken of my friend’s horse, Mia. I wanted to get a close up of the horse’s face and bridle. While editing I brought up the texture and contrast to further highlight all the little details.
Kaleb G- Untitled
This is a picture I took of a mirror in the bathroom and edited the mirror to look different from real life.
Darnell C - Jackpot
I call this Jackpot a DMC reference. I took this at my house using my lightbox, and took the photo using my phone. I edited it by adding highlights to make it look like the figure was lit up and was charging his arm cannon. I could make it better by giving it a different background.

Leo D- An Open Mask
The image is called An Open Mask. It was taken using the camera in Mr. Rigsby room it was taken in the theater room. I edited the composition as well as lighting it and changing the color. It could be better if I got all three.

Angel M- Cracker Barrel
This image is titled; Cracker Barrel. I took this photo at the Cracker Barrel in Pelham. It's a panorama so I took multiple photos, then combined them to make this one. I really like the color palette of this photo and the warm lighting. I could be better if I got a wider and higher angle.
Shelby S - Oppression
This photo is called OppressionI. I created this image as a digital collage rather than taking it in a specific place or time. I made it on my computer using Adobe Photoshop, where I combined different images, text, and textures into the shape of a human face. I used layering, masking, and blending tools to fit the elements together and adjusted the colors and contrast so everything looked consistent and focused. The message of the image is about feminism, identity, and speaking out, which is shown through the phrases and protest imagery across the face. To improve it, I could make the transitions between elements smoother, reduce some of the clutter so the main ideas stand out more clearly, and sharpen certain areas to create a stronger focal point. Overall, this piece reflects my intention to express social issues and highlight the importance of women’s voices in society through a bold and detailed design

Caroline S- Interim
The title of my image is Interim and it is a combination of photos, mostly from around the school. The background picture, taking most of the frame, was taken in the courtyard with the outline of the person taken in the studio. However, the yellow leaf was taken in Auburn. The photos taken at the school were on my Nikon D3100, but the one in Auburn was taken on my Nikon Coolpix. I edited it by compositing the photos together and it could be better if I had continued experimenting with different images.
Nicholas T- Red Room
I title this image “Red Room.” It was taken near the bathroom behind the attendance desk on February 25th using an EOS Rebel T3. I changed the orange to red, greatly increased the contrast, and added a poster filter. The lights themselves should’ve had a softer glow around them.
Sophia H- Books of Old
The title of my image is “Books of Old.” I took it at my boyfriend’s house in March 2026, taken with my new iPhone camera. I edited it by changing the hue to a more purple color and gave it a vignette. Overall, I’m pretty pleased with this photo.

Nabeyal K- Nabiverse
The title of my image is called the Nabiverse. It was taken a few months ago at school with a camera I borrowed from Mr. Rigsby. I edited by adding 4 versions of me and 2 versions of my friend and a few cats lol. I could have made it better if I made the cats look more natural.
Calliope T - Distress
This image is called “Distress” because I think this is the motion that it shows. It was taken in Mr. Rigsby’s studio with his canon camera on February 18th. I edited it by making the pink more vibrant and darkening up the blur of her face. I also darkened the background and used the smudge tool to swirl the background colors. I think it could be better if the background was a little darker because it detracts a little from the subject.
