The image I selected for our first blog image and statement is of a bird shot I took on the Zoo trip this spring. I took it with my Nikon D-40 and made minor tweaks by upping the contrast. I believe the photo could have been better if the bird beak and eyes were more focused and not the wings but overall I was pleased with the way it turned out.

Cool photo! The colors and contrast looks really good. The only thing is the focus, is off but it still looks nice. BK - HHS
