Shelby S - The Eras Tour

 This image is called “The Eras Tour” and it was taken at Rose’s house, the model during the first week of September 2024. It was taken with my Canon eos rebel t4i. We were running out of time between after school and the sunset, so the photos at the bottom had a different quality compared to the top, the top looks better, no balance. I edited it by making the subject black and white, adding a color solid, playing with the blending modes, and experimenting with highlights and shadows. I think I could’ve planned time management better ahead so all the photos looked the same with quality. In all, this image took me a total of 12 hours to complete with getting ready, taking pictures, and editing.

Dylan T- After Hours

 I call this After Hours i took it in the Dominican Republic with my phone while i was walking through the resort. I didn't really do anything to it because i felt like it fit the vibe as is. I feel like if i took it with a actual camera it would've came out better but i feel like its good as is.

Kenn J- Malcolm & Marie

 The title of the image is Malcolm and Marie. This was taken early in the school year for Mr. Rigsby using his camera for the image itself. I edited the image in camera raw and I edited the exposure and brightness, and then turned down the saturation for the black and white feature, I did go back again to edit the brightness after. I think better lighting could make the image better.

Ella H- Monkey Buisness

 The title of my image is “Monkey Business.” I took this image during the zoo field trip in April 2024 at the monkey exhibit. I took this picture with my Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D Camera. I edited this picture by increasing the exposure, contrast, saturation, and vibrancy. I feel that this picture could be better by increasing the exposure a bit more. However, I am pretty pleased with how this image came out. 

Paige L - Birb

 The title of this image is Birb. It was taken August 15th 2024 at the Birmingham zoo. This was taken with a iphone 14 pro max. I put the contrast up and got rid of the gate it was in front of it.

Zander H- CMX250

 This was taken Tuesday September 17th, 2024 and I took the photo in my driveway. I took this photo with my Rebel XSI. I edited this photo by selecting the bike as a layer and then making the original layer black and white, then I went back and used the sponge tool to remove color from anywhere that was left out in the background. I feel like this photo could’ve been better if the background was more aesthetically pleasing maybe if it was on the side of the road with the sky in the background but besides that I feel like it was a good photo.

Maya H- Bunch of Cameras

I took this photo earlier this year for the Site Image Assignment. It is of a bunch of the cameras I have, mostly from my parents and grandparents. When editing this picture, I mostly just clarified it and made the edges of the cameras sharper. I think it could be better if I had gotten all of the cameras more in focus rather than just some of them. 

 

Spencer S - Turbo

 The title of this image is "Turbo." I took it at the Summit with my Nikon D40X. I didn't do much editing, but I think the image would look better if the turbo were more centered and close-up.

 This was made for a composite assignment. It was three different photos edited into one.

Dalia A-H- My friend Beetlejuice

 This was taken on September 4th this year and this is one of the shots we took for fun from the Beetlejuice photo shoot for the Story Illustration assignments. It was taken at Dylan’s house and was a candid shot of Remo (Beetlejuice). This was taken with my Canon Rebel t1i. There is no editing since I feel like it’s best plain like this. Maybe it could be better if the item in the background wasn’t there or replaced with something. This picture also reminds me of an album cover 

Aleli S- Walk

I called this photo walk b/c it's a photo of my friend Reid walking “into” the water. This photo was taken at Aldridge Gardens here in Hoover I edited this photo using Lightroom changing the colors by making them a little bit more yellow I think this photo cold be better if i added more light to it 
 

Chris H- Unedited Scream

 I’m naming this “Unedited Scream” because it was the before photo for the Scream Poster I made. It was taken in the Photography Lab on September 13th. I took this photo with my iPhone and this version wasn’t edited yet. I couldn’t really make it the image itself better since it was the before image.

Michelle R- The Painting

 The title of this photo is The Painting. It was taken at the Galleria (Mall) with my friend Emma. It was taken with my iPhone  I was originally just going to leave it the way it was but I wanted her to look like a painting instead so I lowered the exposure created a shadow and made sure the focus was on her and the frame. A way I feel would have made it better is where her chick bone is to give it that tone of color lowered.

Elyssa W- Unedited

 I titled this image Unedited since I didn’t edit it. I took this image in the studio on September 12th and it was taken with a Canon Rebel T6. I wish it was centered and honestly I like this image unedited.

Nathan E - Sunny Eye

 It's a photo I made as I was in class right after we set up our class accounts. It has My eye and the lake that we have by my house. I was just messing around with photos and filters to get my mind back in creative shape and well I made this and I really liked it and so did my grandmother My grandmother is going to hang it up in her house and display it in her new home.

Sophia H- Twilight

 The title of my image is called Twilight. It was taken in the photography studio sometime in early September. I  took it with my phone's front camera and edited it by blacking out the background of the photo to make it look like the original Twilight book cover. It would be better if the apple was red like the original, and not green. Other than that, it is one of my favorite photos I’ve taken of my friends.

Mylin F- Summer Showers

 The title of this image is called Summer showers, it was taken during the summer at Audrey's garden it was taken with my Canon camera. I edited the hue saturation and turned down the brightness a little bit .  I think it could've been better if I had paid attention to the reflection of the tree and made it darker 

Edgar E- The Night

 This photo was taken with my phone on April 9, 2024 at night. I edited it to make it darker and with the little squares that come out, I added more contrast. It may be better if I add other things or remove the squares, but I like the basics. In my opinion, I think it's a good photo.

Evie G- The Goat

 This is my picture ‘The Goat’. I took this picture during the fine arts trip to the zoo last year in april with my canon ax700 camera. I edited it by cropping it so the goat was the main focus and then putting a brightening filter over the image. I think I could have found a way to edit some of the leaves and branches that are in the goats face, but other than that I really like this image. 

Daniel F- Shin Ultraman

 he title of this is Shin Ultraman, I based this on the Shin Ultraman poster from the movie from 2022. I took the base picture for this project of my Threezero 12 inch Shin Ultraman figure in my kitchen on August 30, 2024 at 5:18pm and it was taken with my very old Iphone 6s.  To edit this image I had to do some things I had not done in a while including things I needed some help with like doing a gradient for the background and also I edited the body so that I could get some blue reflection on it so it blended more but that wasn't too difficult I just think it looks nice and I used google translate for the Japanese. One thing I wish I did however would be I wish I just turned the lights on in the eyes for the photo rather than having to edit a new eye onto it from the poster but the edited eye still looks pretty good so it’s not a huge deal to me.

Kenn J- Sunday Service

 The title of the image is called Sunday Service. This was taken at Farrelly’s dueing their brunch service and it was taken during the summer. This was taken with my phone. I did all my editing in the camera raw filter when i adjusted exposure, contrast, white and dark lights. This picture could be beter with the angle or more clarity.

Michelle T- Dessert

 The photos title is called Dessert. It was taken at my last job it was at the beginning of June. This photo was taken with my iPhone. I toned down the color of the strawberries and lightened the areas around the plate. I feel if I was able to remove some of the objects around the photo it would better.

Harleigh P - Wedding

I took this photo on August 10th of this year. It was at one of my family members wedding. I thought it was a cute shot, considering I took it when my dad was driving past it. It would obviously be better if it was closer but overall, I really think it’s cute. 

 

Anthony S M- Spiderman duo

 I took this photo Around May 22 at 10-ish o'clock I like how the photo looks with both collectibles I use as you can see it is a Spider-Man logo and the Spider-Man action figure and I try to make it look like a good pose and put a little bit more lighting and other stuff that I could add but I feel like I could've added more but I like how I did the thing but maybe different stuff in the background 

Helen S - Tobykins

 I titled my image “Tobykins”. It is a photo of my dog Toby. I took this picture over the summer with my iphone 12 pro max. I used the remove tool to remove a cup and remote out of the background. I think the quality could have been better but overall I think it looks cute.

Spencer S - Josh Fonbah

I took this picture of my friend Josh on my nikon d40x. We were downtown and were taking pictures for a couple people. I edited it by making the background darker and increasing the exposure on just him. He’s a great photographer too you can check him out on Instagram at @fonbahsflicks

 

Dylan T- Untitled

 I don't really have a name for this one not gonna lie i just really like how it looks I took this on a party tour boat in the Dominican Republic this summer its a picture of my dad looking over the waters I took it with my Canon Rebel T7 and I didnt really do too much but touch up the colors a bit to make it pop but overall im pretty satisfied with how it turned out. If i did anything differently id probably take it from a little higher up just to get a better angle but besides that im happy with how it came out

Edgar E- The Car

This photo was taken on August 5, 2024, I edited it by putting less contrast and less light and more things, it could be better if I put more things in it, in my opinion it's fine like this, it was taken in a car museum, it was taken with my iPhone 12.

Kye W- Little Angel

This photo was taken on June 5, 2024, with my Canon Rebel T7. The picture is unedited, but I adjusted the camera settings to increase the exposure time and achieve a wider look for the carpet. I could have improved this picture by ensuring the carpet fully covered the background instead of leaving the top right corner exposed, revealing the actual carpet beneath the rug the baby is on.

 

Zykeria M- S.O.N.D.E.R

 The name that I chose for my picture is called S.O.N.D.E.R. The reason for me choosing this name is because the word “sonder” represents the profound feeling of realizing that everyone, including strangers passing in the street, has a life as complex as one's own, which they are constantly living despite one's personal lack of awareness of it. The picture gives off the feeling of a free thinking space and gives off a place where you would commonly find yourself after a long stressful day. This Photo was taken on a breezy Friday night in October outside of my house, after a long day of school. I took this photo with my phone. Believe it or not I did not have to edit this photo at all. I do believe this photo could be better with a little photoshop such as brightening up the colors a little. 

Milan S- Kia Forum

 The title is called the Kia Forum It was taken on June 19, 2024 at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. I don’t have it displayed anywhere. I chose this photo because it has nice quality and I like how it naturally has darkness around the screen to make it stand out. I think I should’ve cropped it some more but overall I like it.

Remo M- Shark Attack

  The title of my image is “Shark Attack” and it was taken at Orange Beach on July 28th, 2024. It was taken with my iPhone SE camera. I did not edit it and it probably be better if I did. 

Maggie O- Library of Celsus

This photo is called the Library of Celsus. It is a photo of the top of the Library of Celsus in Ephesus. I took this picture over the summer when I went on a cruise. I edited it in my photos app on my phone. I could have centered the photo better, but otherwise I love it.

 

Reagan P - Golden Light

 The title of this image is “Golden Light”. This picture was taken April 7th at Aldridge Gardens. I did not edit this image. I feel like it would be better if the flowers where more defined and there was more detail.

Chris H- Panorama 1

 The name of this image is Panorama 1. I took it last year at the football field. I took it with my Canon EOS camera. I edited together in Photoshop. I wish that each photo blended together better but I’m ok with it. I was out there for over an hour just taking photos of it, I had to restart around 3 times.

Paige L - Pretty Boy

 The title of this photo is “Pretty Boy”. This photo was taken on the side of my house, it was taken October 28th 2023. This was taken with my Iphone 14 pro max. All i did was turn down the saturation in this photo and just let everything else be. I think its perfect and nothing needs to be changed? His name is gus and hes so handsome!!!

Brooke L- Slides

 I titled this image, slides. It was taken on August 6th on a cruise ship. It was taken with my Iphone and I edited it by bumping up the saturation so you can see the vibrance of the color and I also bumped the brightness. I think it could've been better by removing things that might be distracting from the actual focus of the picture.

Emily K - Proposal

 This photo is called “Proposal” and it was taken on July 20th, 2024 at Vulcan and it was taken with my Canon Rebel T7. For editing, I brightened everything up and made the sky a little more blue because it was a very overcast day. I also sharpened everything to make sure all the details were prevalent. I think it could have been better if I edited some of the little details, such as small spots on the ground. This was my very first paid photography job and it was so much fun and I am looking forward to doing similar things in the future. 

Aleli S- Mexico

 I called this photo Mexico b/c I took this there over the summer. I took this in Mexico in June. I took this with my phone which it an iPhone 14.  I edited it using Lightroom on my iPad by just simply making the colors a lot brighter. I think this could be better if I had made the person more in the middle of the photo then having them on the side.

Elyssa W- Senior Portrait

 This Image is titled Senior Portrait and was taken at Aldridge Gardens in late July. I took this photo with my Nikon D3400 and it could be better if it wasn’t so dark. I edited this through Photoshop brightening it up as much as I could and cropping a person out of the background. 

Shelby S- Retro Lights

 The title of this image is called “Retro Lights”. This was taken back in May at the Ford Museum in Michigan. It was taken with my phone and I edited the coloring in the camera roll app. I definitely added extra saturation, but I also added shadows and sharpness. I wish I would’ve made the vignette a little more visible.

Zander H- Foggy Morning

 This photo was taken in Hoover, July 23rd 2024. I took this photo with my phone because I didn’t have my camera at the time because I was at work. I edited the photo just by increasing the contrast to make the trees a little more bright and noticeable. I feel like this photo could have been better if it was taken on my actual camera aswell if I had gotten more of the trees and maybe a bird flying by just to add more detail within the photo.

Ella H- Sea at Schooners

 The name of this photograph is “Sea at Schooners.” I took this picture on July 16, 2024 at Panama City Beach, Florida while eating dinner at the restaurant Schooners. I used my point and shoot camera to take this picture. I edited this picture by decreasing the contrast and exposure, as well as increasing the saturation and vibrance of the photo. I feel that this photo could be better by changing the exposure so the trunk of the trees are easier to see. I also feel that editing the sun would also make this photo better. However, I am pleased with the general aesthetic of this photograph.

Evie G - Teenage Dream

 This image is called ‘teenage dream’. I took this in late July at the Olivia Rodrigo concert in Atlanta. I took this photo with my phone, and edited it by putting the ‘purple film’ filter on it and subduing some of the brightness. What I could have done better was to reduce the glare from the stars and the phone flashlights, but overall I really like this image.
