This image is called “Cherry Garcia” because my cat is named after Jerry Garcia, who the Ben and Jerry’s ice cream flavor is named after. It was taken in my front yard on February 9th, 2026 with my Nikon Camera. I edited it by increasing the contrast and darkening the black of Jerry’s fur. I also increased the green hue in his eyes to make them pop a little more against his black fur and with the grass. I think it could be better if I had gotten a little closer to the cat and also if the camera was lower to the ground.

I really like the texture of the fur and the blades of grass, makes them feel soft to the touch. I wish that the lighting was softer and gave the cat a glowing edge in order to make it look softer. Pretty good photo overall though.

This is a really cool picture! I love how despite the focus being on the cat, he's kinda blended into the background. The area around the cat's eyes also looks almost drawn in, which i think is really cool. I also think the overall color pallet in this photograph is pretty.
