Shelby S- Soul Reflection

The title of this image is called “Soul Reflection”. It was taken looking into the E-hall hallway, but I was outside. It was taken during 7th period on Tuesday (2/18). It was taken with Mr. Rigsby’s canon camera. I edited it by turning the temperature down, tweaking the black and white point, and adding texture. I could’ve tried to make the inside more visible compared to the outside being seen better.

I really love this image! I like how trippy it is and all the texture going on. My only critique is I wish you edited out the light at the top of the image to make it cohesive. Overall great work, I would love to see more like this!

Shelby S’s Soul Reflection is a powerful and introspective image that creatively uses reflection to capture both the photographer and her surroundings. The layered look of the hallway seen through the glass adds depth and mystery, making the viewer pause and think. The editing choices—like cooling the temperature, adjusting black and white points, and adding texture—enhance the ghostly, almost dreamlike quality of the photo. It’s a great mix of technical skill and emotional storytelling. One area for improvement could be increasing the contrast between the reflection and background to make the subject stand out more clearly. Overall, it’s a thoughtful and visually striking image.
