Liam D- Hand of Light

It was taken in the studio around October. It was taken of my friend who volunteered, and the lights are from another friend whom I stole them from It was taken with Mr. Rigsby's camera I changed the hue and the contrast to make it look softer and to make her skin clearer it could be better if it had more lights

Victoria S- The Selection

This image is called The Selection because it is a recreation of The Selection book cover. The subject in my photo is my friend, Caroline Lee. I took several pictures of her in different poses in my backyard using natural light as my light source. I then edited the pictures one at a time in Photoshop, cut out the background around Caroline, and combined all the pictures in one Photoshop file. Next, I copied and pasted the ruffles in her dress to add more layers to it. I blurred the pictures of Caroline in the background and added a glass texture over them to make them look like they’re a reflection in a mirror.  Lastly after I added the text, I added a crystallized photo over the entire photo, lowered the opacity, and added a blending option. I think this picture could be better if the dresses had all been the same hue. Overall, I am very happy with how this turned out!

Nicholas T - Serious Cramping

The title of the image is “Serious Cramping”. It was taken below a light in my room on September 28, 2025. It was taken with my DSC-W800. I increased the contrast and shadows of the image to make it much darker. I really wanted to remove the vent in the background.

Aleli S - Focus

I chose this photo of my friend Carson, which I took about two weeks ago at his house. , I would have wanted to add more white  lights to reduce the orange hue, but I think it adds an gold feel to the photo. However, I don’t like that the focus is on the background rather than on Carson.

Irais B-C - REDRUM

I took this picture about a week ago at Aldridge Gardens with my boyfriend. I took it with my iPhone 16 Pro on the regular camera setting, turning down the brightness a little so it could focus properly. I edited the photo by sharpening the edges in the pine straw and pine cones and allowing the red in the blood to be more vibrant. I also added a vignette and then added another layer to make the hand/arm a bit brighter. I personally really like the outcome of the photo, but I know there are little things here and there that I could've done to make a slight change.

Maya H - The Substance (with text)

This image is the one I used for the Story Illustration assignment. It is based on the 2024 body horror film The Substance; I based my image on a couple of the posters for the film that feature an eye with multiple pupils and irises, sort of one duplicating/splitting into the others. To get this effect, I took photos of my friend's eye looking in different directions, then I combined the images in Photoshop to get the multiplied pupils and irises. This ended up being significantly more difficult and complicated than I anticipated.

Kais C- Call the Cards

It was taken October 6th 2025 in Mr. Rigsby's studio. It was taken with my Canon rebel t7 camera. I edited it in Adobe Lightroom, messing with the light and texture. I think if I had more and more time with it I would have way better way more to it give me feedback on how I can improve

Finley B - A Touch of Music.

The title of my image is “A Touch of Music.” It was captured in the courtyard at Hoover High School during my photography class. I used a Nikon D3100 to take the photo. I edited it to be black and white with a subtle increase in contrast. For a stronger focus, I could have experimented with different angles or zoomed in closer.

Sophia H- Noir Moon

The title of this image is Noir Moon. I took this picture in my backyard during mid-September. It was taken with my iPhone and edited on my MacBook's photo app editor. I added a B&W filter and also a vignette. I feel like it could be better if I spent more time editing/ taking the time to get a better picture, since it was last-minute and very fast.

Surya P- Preperation

I took this picture at football practice a week or two ago. It was taken with my Nikon D750. I edited it by bringing out the color in the football and making the blacks and shadows in the image more prominent, so that the football stood out more. I wish the W on the football was a little more in focus, but overall I really like it.

Hayden C - Fourth Place

The title of this piece is “Fourth Place,” and it comes from the obvious subject of my photo: my fourth-place ribbons. It was taken in the studio with my Canon camera. I used a bright white light on the left and a softer yellow light on the right. I did this specifically to make sure things did not end up too monotone and washed out from the amount of white in the photo. I edited mainly by bringing highlights and whites up and lightening shadows to bring out the colors. I leaned toward cooler tones in temperature and warmer in tint to both make the white pop out whine also bringing out the gold in the ribbons. I used the spot healing tool to clean up any ribbons that may have been smudged, got dirt on them, or any weird-looking highlights that had appeared while editing. I wish I’d added more ribbons to the top left to make use of the entire frame, as the blank spot begins to look weird when you stare too long.

Rachel N - Lamp

This is Lamp, it’s named that way because it’s a photo of lamps. It was taken in Indonesia; I don’t have an exact date when I got it. It was taken with a Samsung A71. I edited them by adjusting the lighting and cleaning the lamp a bit. It could’ve been better if I had lightened the brightness a little bit.

Liam D- Pans Labrynth

This was taken in the photo studio. The camera Mr. Rigsby provided. I edited it using the lock to make her white then digitally edited everything I wish that I took a little more on the table

Nabeyal K- Breaking Bad

This is called Breaking Bad. It was taken 2 weeks ago in the studio. It was taken by my camera. I edited it by adding smoke and moving myself and my friends around at an angle. Being completely honest, I don't know what could make it better lol.

Kaleb G- Chicken

The imagine is of a chicken that I took a picture of at an airbnb I took a picture of it with my iphone and probably could be better if there was a lot more background stuff in the image.

Kye W – At the Cross

My photo, At the Cross, was taken indoors in September 2025 using my Canon Rebel T7. I edited it with darker tones, textures, and a vignette to give it an aged, biblical style. The image shows a woman mourning and holding a wrapped figure that represents Jesus after His death, while hands reach toward Him to symbolize humanity’s need for salvation. If I could improve it, I would brighten the hands to make them stand out more. Overall, the picture expresses the Christian meaning of grief, sacrifice, and hope in Jesus.

Calliope T- Eye

The title of this image is “Eye.” It is a picture of my sister’s eye and it was taken in my room on September 13th. I took it with my Nikon camera and I used the flash. I edited it by cropping it in and removing a couple little spots. I also brightened up the eyeshadow a little bit and darkened the eyelashes. I think it could be better if her eye was a little more in focus.

Nicholas T - When it Falls

The title of this image is “When it Falls.” It was taken in the courtyard in September. I took it with my DSC-W800. I added a small vignette and sharpened it up a bit. If I’d gotten closer to the tree then that would’ve improved the focus of it a bit.

Kais C- Batman: Revenge of Darnel

This is a collage of photos but all or most of them were taken inside the studio in Mr. Rigsby's room. It was taken with my Canon Rebel T7. I heavily edited in building and the light in Lightroom, also using lights in LightRoom, A tone down in the lighting, I think could fix it and make it perfect

Shelby S- 1989

The title of this photo is called 1989. It was taken in the studio one day last week. It was taken with my friend’s Canon camera. I used a gradient fir the background, added seagulls in the background, and selected my model as the subject. I think I could’ve used the lighting different to make it look more realistic.
