Dalia AH- Four Elise

The title of this photo is Four Elise. I had her come over and I took a ton of portraits of her, most of which were close up shots. This specific picture was very close up and I wanted to experiment trying different colors in different squares. It was taken with my Canon Rebel T1i and to edit it, I individually selected each section and would try different hues and change up the contrast while adding classic filters and fading the photo. I made 3 different versions of this picture but this was my favorite.

Milan S - Stray Kitty

The title of this is called Stray Kitty. I took this picture by my house on October 6th, 2024 on my iphone 16 pro max. I used a vignette around the edges, then cropped the image to center it. Lastly, I blurred the background some to make the cat appear clearer. Overall, I’m pretty happy with it, I just wish it was still a little clearer.

Shelby S - The Darkside Of The Brain

I call this image, “The Darkside Of The Brain.” and it was taken behind my friend’s house after school one day. It was taken with my Canon rebel eos t4i camera. I edited it by using the B&W filter and using cutouts of the hands and placed them around her. I think I could’ve put her in different clothes to set the mood a little more, and maybe a new location.

Aleli S- Ashlyn

This is a photo of my friend Ashlyn. This was taken next to Moss Rock. I used my Nikon D5 to take this photo. I used Lightroom to edit it. By making the colors more vibrant

Zykeria M- Isolation

The title I decided to call this photo is Isolation. This photo was taken on July 14 in Selma AL. This was taken with my iphone 13, no fancy camera being used here as you can probably tell. I did not have to edit this photo. I really didn’t see anything that could’ve made it look better. Maybe to make it look better I would insert some words next time.

Dylan T- Quiet

I call this image Quiet. I took it for my sustained investigation and i feel like its the best one ive done in a long time. I was going for a lonely/gloomy vibe and i feel like i captured that pretty well, all i did really was make everything but the bench black and white and grainy as if its from your perspective everything dim and dark and your only focused on one thing. After that i just corrected small things and added a frame but overall i feel proud of it.

Elyssa W - Hoover Vs. Prattville

This image was taken at the Met on September 20th during their warmup. It was taken with my Nikon D3400 and I didnt edit it much, I lightened it a small bit in Photoshop. To make it better I could have cropped it some on the top but I like the way it turned out.

Harleigh P - T Town

I took this photo In Tuscaloosa during the Georgia vs Alabama game. I took it in 0.5 but I like the way the sky turned out and the overall shot. I think it would be better with an actual camera but overall, I like it.

Paige L- Feel The Light

This Image is called “Feel The Light”, It was taken in the backroom of this class, September 19th is the day it was taken. It was taken with a iPhone 14 pro max. It was darkened and made the actual lights lighter.

Anthony SM- Sunday Soccer

I took this shot two weeks ago around 1 pm. It was Sunday league for soccer and I took random shots. I like this one since you can see the player clearly and see what they are going to do next. I feel like I should have add a little bit more lighting and others types, but for now I feel like Im leave on how it is and could do a lot better but overall i'm okay with it.

Reagan P - Late Night Drives

This was taken at McAdory High School around 7 pm. This was taken with my iPhone 13 so it's not the best quality. I did not edit this photo and it would have been a lot better if the photo was taken with my camera but I still really like the vibes of this photo.

Chris H- Arm Lights

I’m naming this photo, “Arm Lights” because I really couldn’t think of anything better. I took it in the Photography Studio on September 19th. I took it with my Iphone. I edited it in the Photoshop App. I wish I had more creativity with this assignment, I’m a little disappointed about it but it’s fine.

Spencer S- Redbull GTI

I took this photo during Slammedenuff in Gatlinburg when we went to a car meet in a Walmart parking lot. I thought the scene was cool, but it looks like the quality dropped when I airdropped it. For editing, I masked the subject car, removed the other cars in the background, and used a linear gradient to lower the exposure and shadows on the asphalt.

Zander H- Ol’ Beamer

This was taken on the highway on the way back from the Zoo after the fieldtrip we took last year. I took this photo with my Canon XSI I edited this photo by removing the other cars in the photo to not distract from the subject, I also made the photo black and white but made the brighter colors in the picture pop more. I think this photo could’ve been better if it was taken closer to the vehicle but I think it looks good were the whole subject is showing.

Remo M- Can't Give In

The title of my selected image is “Cant Give In” and I took it on September 19th, 2024. I took the picture using my iPhone SE camera. I laid out a bunch of things that would correlate to the story I am trying to tell using my photos. I liked the way I edited it to make it more surreal and mysterious. I wanted to show the desk of someone who is being tormented and being driven insane.

Maggie O- Sheets

This image is called Sheets. It was taken in the bsck room with Mr Rigsby’s camera. I used the white backdrop and draped it over one of the lights, creating an eerie ghost-like effect. I then touched it up in photoshop by altering the coloring and creating a more dramatic contrast between the highlights and the shadows. I could have made everything more smooth to lean into the ghostly vibe.

Sophia H- After it Rained

This is an image I took with my phone after it rained on my back porch in September. I put it in a black-and-white filter and then made the definition higher. I think it would be better if more of the light from the sun came through.

Brook L- Blind Person

I named this picture Blind Person because it is a picture of blind people. It was taken in my room a couple weeks ago and was taken with my sony camera. I edited it by turning up the exposure but that was all I did. I don't know any way this picture could be better.

Emily K- Cold Souls

This photo is titled Cold Souls because that is the name of the movie poster I recreated. I took this picture in August while we were doing the movie poster assignment and all of my photos were taken in the back studio and with Mr. Rigsby’s Canon Rebel t6. I did quite a bit of editing for this picture. I took multiple pictures of Mr. Rigsby from different angles and I cropped all of them and put them on top of each other. I also drew the background and the hollow spaces on the bottom half with the paintbrush tool in Photoshop. I also copied all the words and fonts from the original poster. I think it could have been better if I spent more time on refining the hollow drawing on the bottom half. Overall, this assignment was really fun and I enjoyed playing around with new editing techniques!
