Olivia H- Hands

This is a picture of my sisters hands, I took this picture for the site image assignment. This picture was taken with my cannon T-6. I painted her hands black and I used a white background. To edit I made the image black and white and I sharpened the hand so they look more defined. I made some spots darker and I lightened the background. I wish it came out better but I’m not sure how to make it better.

Omar S.-Rainbow

The name of this image is Rainbow . This photo was taken in the afternoon in my backyard. I edited this image by increasing the saturation and the black point to make the left side of the image a little darker. I think it could be better if the left side of the image was more detailed.

Zach B. - Stunning Eye

This is a composite photo of a sunset, an evergreen leaf, and my friend Adde and her really blue eye. I took these photos in Bluff Park and the sunset was taken at my grandmothers. I never really had a big interest in composite photos, but after I saw how well this one ended up being, I have a new found respect for those type of images. This photo I feel like I could have made better by being a little bit more subtle with the brightness of the skin and the eye, but it seemed like I could never get it to the perfect combination. Other than that, I’m quite satisfied with this picture.

Danielle M - Floral

The title of this image is “Floral”. It was taken at the Botanical Gardens with my Nikon D5100. I edited it by creating a pastel pink background, cutting the flower from the full image, then setting their layer properties to each be different while creating lines with the brush tool. It could be better if I didn’t have the fuzziness around the petals.

Lauren B- Sunburst Flower

The image is called Sunburst Flower because that is the subject of the photo. I took this at Bluff Park Elementary’s classroom garden with my Canon Rebel Ti6. I edited this by bumping up the vibrance and contrast to bring out the bright orange color. I also sharpened some of the petals on the back side of the flower. It could be better if I had edited something behind or on top of this flower to add a texture contrast, but I really wanted to keep it simple.

Mollie E- Reflection

The title of this image is “Reflection” because the flower is making a mirror image of itself in he water. I took this picture at the botanical gardens on August 25. I took this picture with my Nikon d3400 camera. I edited this image in Photoshop by bringing up the saturation and adding a slight vignette. In my opinion the flower looks a little over exposed so that is something that I could have fixed.

Arzoo Q- Flower

I took this picture at my house with fake flowers and as you know I love nature and flowers and everything so colorful. I took this with my I phone 6 plus because my cousin had lost my chip.

Hannah J- Buckets and Spires

This image, Buckets and Spires, was taken in California over the summer. I took it with my Canon PowerShot and edited the brightness and colors. The photo might be improved with less grain and better focus.

Charis H - Vision

I named this picture vision. The background picture was taken over the summer in my house, and the overlaid image was taken a few weekends ago of a mural in downtown Birmingham. I did some overlaying and increased the saturation of each picture. The eye could have been sharpened a little bit more to make it more distinct.

Jacob T- Vintage Ford

I called this image Vintage Ford. I took this picture by tip top Tuesday the 14th. It was taken with my Cannon T6 Rebel. I edited by increasing the sharpness and color. I also used the Niks Collection to put a filter on the picture. I think that the background is kind of plain. It would have been better if I waited to take it while there was a sunset in the background.

Macy M - E.S.C.A.P.E.

The title of my image is “E.S.C.A.P.E.” This was taken downtown for my architecture assignment. It was taken with my Nikon D3400. I Sharpened the image and increased the saturation. I think the image would have been better if it was a little more clear.

Emily R- NYC

The title of this image is NYC, this was taken in NYC, hints the title, this summer. This was taken with my iPhone 7+, I added grain, changed the contrast, tone, and cloned the window a little to make the windows uniform.

Carmen V- Fireworks

I combined to picture of fireworks. I made the colors a bit brighter and background darker

Braxton S.- Roadwork

The title of the image is Roadwork. It was taken at Lake Wilbourne over the summer on a road in the back of the neighborhood. It was taken with my Canon 50D. I edited it by taking some trash in the picture out and adding a vignette. It could be better if the sun was out more.

Carson R - A New Perception

This image is entitled “A New Perception”. This was taken underwater with my Nikon D3400, in Maui Hawaii over the summer. I edited this in photoshop by increasing the contrast and bringing up the temperature a little bit. I think this could be better if the turtle was more in focus.

Austin C. - Flower

This image is titled “Flower”. This photo was taken at a garden about a week before the 25th of August. It was taken with my Nikon D3300. I added some vibrance and raised the brightness and sharpened it up a little bit. I think it could be better if it was in focused better and taken in a better than the way it was.

Dalton C. - American Photographer

The Title of this image is American Photographer. I took it last week at the Ross Bridge railroad tracks. I took it with my Canon Rebel Ti. I increased the contrast and saturation. I wish that I would have framed it better.

Alexa S-Dirt Image

The title of this photo is Dirt Images. I took this picture on my Canon SL1. This picture was taken on a trail near Brocks Gap Road. I used photoshop to edit this picture. I darkened the background and used the burn tool to make her skin darker. I also turned up the saturation to make her toe nails brighter. This picture could be better if the camera was a little more in focus.

Alicia U-Sunflower Girl

This picture is called Sunflower Girl based on the image you can see its yellow and she has sunflowers. I like it because it goes very well with her and her amazing beautiful hair that's curly. This image was taken over the summer during the weekend my friend and I decided to take a couple of shoots for photography and fun. We bought a few items from dollar tree not waste so much at Walmart. I took this image with my Canon SL1. I edited this picture by cropping it some because there was something bothering the image and then I edited on Nik collection added a yellow filter but rotate it because there was so much on her face.  I would change it by editing it more like on her face and then adding like a nice background on the back.

Abby W- Rainbow Succulent (First post for 2018-2019 school year.)

This is an image of a succulent. It was taken in the National Botanical Gardens in Washington D.C. To edit this image, I used three different gradients, one black centered, white centered, and a multi-colored one. The image before was pretty bland, the colors being very washed out and light, so I added the color blocking to make it more interesting to look at. I then used the burn tool to burn the edges of the petals to increase dimension and contrast.
