Victoria S-The Music Movement

This image is titled “The Music Movement.” I took this picture on November 12th at my friend’s house. In this photo I experimented with motion which is something that I’ve never done before. I took pictures of my friend’s hands playing the piano and decreased the shutter speed to capture all the movements of her fingers. Lastly, I put the image in black and white and increased the clarity of the overall picture. I think it could be better if you could see the shape of her right hand a little bit more clearly. Otherwise, I’m very happy with how this turned out!

This photo is super cool. I love how the piano is perfectly still but the fingers are moving. I think making it black in white was definitely the right decision because it adds a lot of drama to the photo. Good job! - MM(HHS)

I really like this photo! I love how it captures the motion of the piano playing with the long exposure, and the black and white really enhances the feeling and look of the image as a whole. However, I do think it could be better if you had used a tripod, so the only motion/doubling would be that of the hands and the keys, rather than the piano itself as well; though maybe this was intentional on your part! But, overall, a great photo!

I love this photo! I love the lighting of the photo, deciding to make the photo black and white to match the piano color was very smart. But, I think my favorite part of the photo is how it feels like a story is being told. It truly feels like I'm watching someone play the piano in motion. - AR HHS

I think this image is so cool, the long exposure adds a really cool effect. Also the black and white is really nice, I feel like it gives a nostalgic vibe.
