Rachel N - Migraineogenic
This is Migraineogenic. It was taken at my house, Oct 22, 2025. It was taken with my iPhone 15 Pro Max. I edited it by playing with the settings especially the saturation and the coloring. It could’ve been better if I lowered the saturation, it feels like there’s too much going on in the photo. When I was editing, staring at the photo makes my head ache. Hence, the name.

I love this photo, it's so pretty and almost comforting because it reminds me of being a kid and laying on the grass and looking up at the sun. A.A
It might just be my opinion, but I love everything going on in this photo. It makes it seem like there's texture and noise radiating from it. The name is pretty fitting though, it does feel like I'm getting a migraine lol. The lighting and color really pops out as well- especially the glare from the sun that casts that rainbow halo. SA-HHS
Rachel N’s “Migraineogenic” is a striking exploration of light, color, and intensity. The photograph immediately commands attention with its bold saturation and radiant sunburst that floods the image with energy. Taken at Rachel’s home on October 22, 2025, the photo captures a natural scene that feels anything but calm—the exaggerated coloring transforms the ordinary into something almost overwhelming.
The artist’s decision to play with saturation and brightness is both her strength and her challenge. The vivid greens and blinding yellows create a dazzling, almost chaotic composition that evokes the title perfectly—something beautiful yet painful to behold. Rachel’s reflection shows her awareness of this balance; she recognizes that a lower saturation might have given the image more clarity, but her experimentation effectively communicates the theme of visual overstimulation.
Ultimately, “Migraineogenic” succeeds as an expressive piece of visual storytelling. It demonstrates how editing choices can shift a photo’s emotional tone from serene to intense, transforming a simple sunlit scene into an artwork that makes you feel both awe and discomfort—just as the name suggests.
this photo has a vibrant, energetic fuel with the sunburst effect and light creating a dreamy surreal quality. The editing, especially the saturation and coloring, adds depth and enhances the overall impact the composition and personal touch of capturing it at home, gives the image, warmth and intrigue
