The title of the selected image is “Unraveled”. This photo was taken at the beginning of summer in my house. This photo was taken with my Nikon D5100 camera. I edited this photo by making it grayscale and upping the contrast in certain areas. I think this photo could be better if the background was more simple so the focus is more on the subject.

Like ES said, this really is a vibe. It's sort of a mix between sharp and soft focus thanks to the small amount of blur. The almost beige gray color of the photo is a large part of what makes the photo great, this mixed with the person's face brings to mind the word 'messy'. Your title works well for this, as I could definitely see this as a person unraveling after going through a rough experience or perhaps life. This photo has a sad, almost hopeless mood in my eyes. I do think having a simpler background would help as you mentioned, but it is good as is anyway.
