Daniel F- The Arrogance of Man
The title of this photo is “The Arrogance of Man” as you reference the quote from Godzilla 2014 as well as bring attention to Godzilla as an allegory for nuclear war. This also leads into this photo being based on the final scene from Godzilla 1954 when he is killed by the oxygen destroyer which in a later movie causes the creation of Destoroyah hints the arrogance of man. I took this photo of my SH Monsterarts Godzilla 1954 on March 21, 2025 with my IPhone 16 in my kitchen which is where I do all my photography because it’s a nice neutral background and makes things easy to select and cut out. I edited this photo by cutting out the base image of Godzilla and then placing him in a background of water. I then copied the same image and overlaid that water and used the blending tools to make it look like the bubbles were in front. I turned it to black and white then in the NIK collection I used the analog effects to make this feel like an old film then I added a blur. After all that I got an image of Godzilla written in Kanji then I made it grey and added heavy grain to make it match the rest of the photo. I think this could be better by blending so,e of the areas better into the background like the right hand. I think this photo turned out really well and I feel like I got the point across with making this feel like an old film and is a nice tribute to one of the greatest monster movies ever created.

This is super cool! The only thing I would say is the background could be blended in a little more, but this image looks great!
This picture is super cool and looks just like an old poster I would see for a movie, I think it would look a little better with muted colors
Amazing photo it is so detailed with so many things going into it that it must have taken so much time. The description also makes it way better by giving the story of how it was taken and the meaning of the title it all works together to make it way better.
I like how it's so high quality, and the backstory behind it.
This photo titled “The Arrogance of Man” is a powerful and skillful homage to the legacy of Godzilla and classic monster cinema. The artist, Daniel F., successfully recreates the gritty, emotional tone of the original 1954 film through thoughtful editing choices—particularly the use of black and white, added grain, and blur effects that mimic vintage film. The composition is strong, with a dynamic pose of Godzilla and a layered water effect that adds depth and movement. Including the kanji text further reinforces the authenticity and cultural roots of the subject. Overall, it’s a well-executed and respectful tribute that captures the mood, symbolism, and cinematic history of one of the most iconic creatures in film.

i like how detailed it looks, and the water and sunlight at the top make it fit really well.
"I really like this photo — the shot is great. The only thing I would probably change is the background. It's not bad, but I would have picked a different one. Also, maybe a bit more lighting would help. Overall, it's okay."
I love how gritty this is and how you spliced it all together!
