Emily K - Young Curiosity

This photo is titled “Young Curiosity” and it was taken on February 5th at Aldridge Gardens with my Canon Rebel T7. I cropped it and made the whole picture warmer. I also added a Gaussian blur on a new layer to give it a dreamier feel. I think the warm tones are kind of off looking so I could play around with that to make it better.

Shelby S - 365 Party Girl

The title of this photo is called “365 Party Girl”. This was taken in the studio with Mr. Rigsby’s camera. I edited it by using blending modes and some hues to add more color balance. I took these pictures alone, so it was harder to get my arms down. This assignment is definitely a two-person job.

Edgar E- Red Tree

This photo was taken on March 24th in the afternoon. It was taken with an iPhone. I edited it by adding 3 analog efex filters and I added more contrast and some other things. It could be better if I added something else or if I changed the effects, but in my opinion it is beautiful.

Spencer S- Marlboro

I took the original picture with my old Nikon D40x, to be completely honest I was just messing around and I'm not sure what I think of it.

Daniel F- The Arrogance of Man

The title of this photo is “The Arrogance of Man” as you reference the quote from Godzilla 2014 as well as bring attention to Godzilla as an allegory for nuclear war. This also leads into this photo being based on the final scene from Godzilla 1954 when he is killed by the oxygen destroyer which in a later movie causes the creation of Destoroyah hints the arrogance of man. I took this photo of my SH Monsterarts Godzilla 1954 on March 21, 2025 with my IPhone 16 in my kitchen which is where I do all my photography because it’s a nice neutral background and makes things easy to select and cut out. I edited this photo by cutting out the base image of Godzilla and then placing him in a background of water. I then copied the same image and overlaid that water and used the blending tools to make it look like the bubbles were in front. I turned it to black and white then in the NIK collection I used the analog effects to make this feel like an old film then I added a blur. After all that I got an image of Godzilla written in Kanji then I made it grey and added heavy grain to make it match the rest of the photo. I think this could be better by blending so,e of the areas better into the background like the right hand. I think this photo turned out really well and I feel like I got the point across with making this feel like an old film and is a nice tribute to one of the greatest monster movies ever created.

Emma B- SOBER SINCE BIRTH

The original photo was taken when my friend Sophia was a baby. I took a picture of it on February 15th, 2025, while we were going through her photo book. I used my iPhone 11 Pro Max to capture it. I did a lot of editing to the image. First, I cropped in on it since the original showed other photos from the photo book. Then, I found some tattoos on Pinterest, made them PNGs, and applied them to her face. I had to warp the tattoos to fit her face as if they were naturally there. I adjusted the opacity and saturation, and used the eraser on the softest setting to lighten and blend them in. Next, I used Prequel to apply a filter. After that, I went to Picsart, uploaded the cropped version, layered the filtered photo on top, and erased the pill bottle from the filtered layer so only the bottle kept its color. Lastly, I added the “Parental Advisory: Explicit Content” sticker to the top left corner and cropped the image into a square format. It could be better if I made the tattoos look more realistic, but I really love this photo. It means a lot because it’s of my best friend Sophia, and I loved editing it for her—it would make a fire album cover.

Kye W- Lost in Light

This image is titled Lost in Light and was taken on April 4th in the school’s photo studio. I used a Canon T7 Rebel with a slow shutter speed to capture the motion blur and the colorful light trails. The lights were created by moving LED wands behind the subject in a dark room, which gave it a dreamy, energetic vibe. I edited the image using Adobe Lightroom to slightly boost the saturation and clarity, helping the neon colors stand out more. To improve it, I would try using a tripod for a steadier shot and experiment with different light patterns or poses for variety. I really like how the image feels both in motion and peaceful at the same time—almost like it captures music in a photo.

Ella H- Fast Times

The name of this image is “Fast Times.” I took this photo with my point and shoot camera at the metro station in Washington DC. The image is composed of images taken between March 27th-28th at different metro stations. To edit this image, I overlaid the image of the train body onto a base image which just consisted of the front of the metro train. I applied a blur filter to the train body, as well as decreased the opacity of the overlaid image so it would not overpower the base image. To keep the front of the train visible, I erased the train body which lay over the front of the train, blending to ensure it was seamless. To edit the overall image, I increased the contrast and saturation, while I decreased the exposure.

Eleanor B- Church in Savannah

This was taken at a church in Savannah, GA. I don’t like how I cropped the photo.

Chris H- San Diego.

The name of this photo is San Diego. I took it in San Diego during spring break of 2025. I took this photo with my IPhone. I edited it in the Photoshop App. I’m really happy with the results of this photo.

Evie G - Cliffs of Moher

This photo is called “Cliffs of Moher”, I took this image with my Iphone 13 at the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland. I edited it by upping the exposure a bit, cropping the image and adding a sunlight filter. What I could have done better is to dehaze the image a little bit.

Dalia AH- Mischievous Grin

I took this picture in my hallway along with many other pictures of my friend Cin. I took this with my Canon Rebel T1i camera and I used Analog Efex and Color Efex mostly to edit. I made the picture hazy and used Lens Vignette. I got inspiration from 80’s goth photos and based off the makeup from a specific David Bowie look. Maybe if I added some more accessories that could improve the photo.

Mylin Fr- Goatie

The title I chose for this photo is “Goatie”. It was taken at school for editing, I didn’t focus on anything but removing some things from the background. I think I could do better is center the goat in the middle

Brooke L- Hidden Facial

I named this Hidden Facial. I took the original picture at Georgetown Lake in late February and did slight editing to it and then I added eyes and flowers to it. I don't think it could have been any better but I have tested out different eyes for a different type of vibe but overall I really liked how it turned out.

Edgar E- Cars

This Photo was one of HDR Assignment. I think it is a very good photo. It is edited with many things. I think it can be better if I change some things. This photo was taken on February 9th and it is one of my favorite photos. It was taken by my Iphone.

Aleli S - Recital

I took this photo of my friend Madeline last month at her horn recital here at the school in the PAC. I edited it by lighting up the whole photo and then just working on her to make her stand out. I made her horn look more gold.

Paige L- Shelby

The title of this image is “Shelby”. It was taken January 17th 2025 in the back room of the classroom. It was taken twice with the lighting changed to black and white and the other photos copied ontop of it and made transparent

Kye W- Displeased with the Bear

This was taken on February 19th at 11:16 PM. What it was taken with a digital my camera. The image has a purple/pink color overlay, possibly from a colored light or post-processing. There is also a glitch effect (double exposure look), likely added in editing. How it could be better: The glitch effect is interesting but may be distracting. Adjusting its intensity or making the lighting more even could improve clarity.Other Information: The subject’s expression and body language suggest frustration or displeasure with the plush bear, creating an intriguing contrast.

Zander H- HDR 2

This was taken for the HDR assignment and it was taken outside the gyms in the courtyard. It was taken with Mr. Rigsby’s Canon T7. I edited it by adding the 3 pictures together with the different exposures making an HDR and picked the detailed filter on the Photomatix app. I feel like It could be a bit better if I had zoomed ina little more just capturing the lights and doors on the wall.

Helen S- Hiking Gals

I titled my image “Hiking Gals”. I took this on my Iphone 12 pro max. Me and my friend Emma went hiking at Moss Rock and wanted to take some photos for class. I think this image could be more detailed and centered but overall I like this image.

Milan S - Group Photo

I titled this Group Photo. This was taken in Inglewood, CA, on June 19th, 2024. I took this with my Iphone 15 Pro Max. I turned down the brightness to make it look clearer and then used the vignette tool to make it darker around the edges. It would be better if it was clearer.

Reagan P - Pose

The title of this image is “Pose”. This was taken with my Sony camera and was taken on December 19 at Oak Mountain High School. The only editing I did was cropping the image and I feel like the image could be better once I remove the people on the right side.

Harleigh P - Yawning

 No Stetement provided

Remo M - See-Thru

This picture is called “See-Thru” and it was taken with a Canon Ax700. It was taken on January 30th, 2025. I wanted to create a scene where the killer and his victim are looking at each other through a car. I think I achieved the concept pretty well although te image is a little grainy and I the mask is a little too bright.

Michelle R- Ford

The name of this photo is called Ford the car brand. It was taken outside my house and it was my dads truck on February 15. And it was taken with my Canon camera. I lightened the letters while also darkening the areas around the logo. What would have made it better? I feel if there was better lighting and if I had cleaned it up a bit more before taking the photo.

Spencer S - SRT

I took this shot with my Sony A7iii and the kit lens (28-70mm) at a legal slide pit in Calera. I’m still getting the hang of using the camera at night. In editing, I brightened up the image and made some minor adjustments to the car. I also added a couple of linear gradients to make the flames pop.
