I titled my image “Micro Life” because the creatures were very small. I took this over winter break at the Atlanta aquarium. I took this using my iPhone 12 pro max and turning down the exposure. I edited this image by using the auto tool on the photos application. I think that if I used my real camera I would have gotten a better quality image but overall I like how it turned out.

Spencer S -180SX
The title of this photo is "180SX," named after the car featured in the poster. I captured these images in Gatlinburg, and for the background, I chose a color that closely matched the car. I then added a reflection of the car and used the Dodge tool to create a line of light where the car's reflection lies. I also incorporated a close-up shot of the wheel, positioned it behind the car, and reduced its opacity. Additionally, I included a brief history of the 180SX. If I were to make any changes, I would add an outer glow around the car and brighten the overall image for more emphasis.
Dylan T- Lone
I call this image Lone after the Tyler the Creator song. I took it in New York with my iPhone 11. I didn’t really know what exactly to do with it so I didn't do much besides removing any other people in the photo and changing the color some to better highlight the person. I feel like it symbolizes having to find your own way in life kinda the perspective makes everything else feel so big while you being your own person have to eventually find a way to navigate things yourself

Sophia H- Snow
The title of this image is "Snow" because it features me in a snowy setting. I took this photograph at my friend Emma’s house on January 10, 2025. It was captured on an iPhone and I later edited it by cropping the image to focus on myself and increasing the contrast to make the snow stand out. I feel that adding more contrasting elements in the background would enhance the overall impact of the photo.
Emily K - Friendship Bench
This image is titled “Friendship Bench” and was taken with my Canon Rebel t7 at Aldridge Gardens on November 18, 2024. I did not do much editing other than warming the whole picture and brightening the subjects. I loved how the sun shone and created rays in the background, giving it a dreamy feel. This picture represents friendship for me because my friends and I love to be in nature and talk about anything. I don’t know what I would change about this image, so let me know your thoughts. Overall, this was a very fun photoshoot and I am very happy with this image.
Eleanor B- Frutigi
This was taken in November, with a Nikon camera. I used polar coordinate distortion a few times to get the look I wanted. I also used marquee duplicates to frame the photo with its details. I think I could’ve experimented more with color filters to improve the photo, but I still like it I think!
Dalia AH- Pile
I named this image Pile. i took this image in my garage with my dad’s collection of vintage license plates, I spread and scattered them on the floor and snapped some shots. This was taken with my Canon Rebel T1i and I edited it using various filters like the Nik Analog effex, color effex, and viveza. I also added another picture of a wooden floor and made the opacity of it low to show through the original photo. I also added scratches to the photo using filters to give the photo a rustic kind of feel. I’m not sure what I could change to make it better.

Maya H- Composite
This is a composite image. It is a photo of the inside of a large drainage pipe in Moss Rock Preserve; the photo of the person was also taken in said pipe. I overlaid the image of the pipe using Color Burn, and then adjusted the saturation and lightness on the image of the person. Something that I really like to do in photography and utilized here is using the natural digital noise/grain in a photo to create more interesting textures and patterns.

ZYKERIA M- Summer
The name I chose for this photo is “Summer”. This image was taken outside in the courtyard. I took this picture with a Canon t6 camera. The only thing I did to edit this photo was change the filter to give it a blue tint. I believe it could be better if it were at night maybe but I Do like the sun. I had to get into an odd position to get this photo.
Kye W- Dreaming Light
This photo features a young woman with long, wavy auburn hair, gazing thoughtfully into the distance. She has a calm and serene expression, with her light-colored eyes reflecting natural light. The background shows a softly focused classroom setting with bookshelves, chairs, and desks, adding a casual and intellectual atmosphere. The image has a vintage or film-like texture, enhancing its nostalgic and artistic feel.
Paige L - Leaf
The title of this image is called “Leaf” it was taken September 25th on a iPhone 14 Pro Max. The exposure went down and the saturation went up a bunch and it was taken in our court yard.
Zander H- Elephant
This was taken at the Birmingham Zoo during our field trip last year. I took this photo with my Rebel T7 How I edited it was my raising the contrast to make the colors pop more and also raised the brightness so it wasn’t too dark. I think it might’ve been better if I had a better lens to zoom in a lot better btu I think it turned out pretty well.
Elyssa W - Hoover JV
The name of this image is Hoover Jv and was take in the comp gym on November 3rd. I used photoshop to brighten up the image but other than that I didn’t feel it needed more editing. However I wish I was centered when I took this picture but overall I like this image.
Helen S - Toby Baby
I titled this “Toby baby”. I took this picture in my kitchen with my iphone 12 pro max. I just used the automatic retouch tool on the photos application. I think the quality could be a bit better honestly. Overall I personally think this is a really cute photo.
Remo M - The Making of a Weapon
The title of my selected image is “The Making of a Weapon” and it was taken on September 19th, 2024 in my friend's garage. I took it on my iPhone SE camera and edited it by increasing the vibrance and the saturation of the hook making it pop out more. Then I added motion blur to the corners of the photo. I wanted to give it a Texas Chainsaw Massacre vibe and I think I achieved that pretty well.
Brooke L- Field
I named this photo Field because it is a field of grass and trees. It was taken at red mountain park over the thanksgiving break and I took it with my Iphone 13. I did slight editing to it, I lowered the exposer and the highlights on the photo. I think it would've been better if there wasn't a glare on the sun in the corner and the lighting was even.

Emily K - Girlhood
This image is titled “Girlhood” and was taken with my Canon Rebel t7 at Aldridge Gardens on November 18, 2024. I did not do much editing other than warming the whole picture and brightening the subjects. I loved how the sun was shining and creating rays in the background, giving it a dreamy feel. This picture represents girlhood because we always take pictures of each other because we want our friends to see themselves in the admirable way we do. I don’t know what I would change about this image, so let me know what you think. Overall, this was a very fun photoshoot and I am very happy with this image.
Kenn J- Subtle Rouge
The title of my image is called Subtle Rouge. This was taken in Novemeber in the Photography room. This was taken with a Cannon Digital Camera. I edited the image in camera raw and then changed the image to black and white on a new layer then on another layer a made a mask and cut out the mouth to then edit it to the color i perfer. The pose of my model could be better
Ella H- Passerby
This photograph is called “Passerby.” I took it using Mr. Rigby's camera. I set up a tripod on one of the benches in the courtyard, positioning the camera to point down on my subject. To create the motion effect, I increased the shutter speed and had multiple people move past my subject as she stayed still. I did many trials with this technique. When editing my picture, I overlaid three of these pictures onto a base photo where I blended them. I also made minor edits to decrease the exposure and contrast and increase the vibrance and saturation. I feel that this photo could have been better if I had photographed it in a different area; I do not particularly like the background of this photograph. However, I am pleased with how the editing and motion effects came out.
Nathan E - Happiness Bought
A Lot of my work comes from mental health and emotions. For this its buying happiness It's what a lot of Bi-polar people experience but also selfish people the “sharks of the human kind”
Ella B- Cabbage
This was originally a photo I took of a cut cabbage a few months back. I thought it looked pretty cool without editing, but I distorted it on a few blended layers and added a buncha haze + frame from the analog effects Nik collection. It was pretty fun to edit, I think I could’ve worked more to bring out the original texture to make the photo better.
Emma B- Penelope
This image was taken Sunday December 1st at 3:59PM in the car ride home from vacation. It was taken with my iPhone 11 Pro Max. The only editing I did was cropping the image. It could be better if I moved my mom’s beanie from the background. This is my little baby Penelope.
