Edgan E- Cars

This Photo was one of HDR Assignment. I think it is a very good photo. It is edited with many things. I think it can be better if I change some things. This photo was taken on February 9th and it is one of my favorite photos. It was taken by my Iphone.

Aleli S - Recital

I took this photo of my friend Madeline last month at her horn recital here at the school in the PAC. I edited it by lighting up the whole photo and then just working on her to make her stand out. I made her horn look more gold.

Paige L- Shelby

The title of this image is “Shelby”. It was taken January 17th 2025 in the back room of the classroom. It was taken twice with the lighting changed to black and white and the other photos copied ontop of it and made transparent

Kye W- Displeased with the Bear

This was taken on February 19th at 11:16 PM. What it was taken with a digital my camera. The image has a purple/pink color overlay, possibly from a colored light or post-processing. There is also a glitch effect (double exposure look), likely added in editing. How it could be better: The glitch effect is interesting but may be distracting. Adjusting its intensity or making the lighting more even could improve clarity.Other Information: The subject’s expression and body language suggest frustration or displeasure with the plush bear, creating an intriguing contrast.

Zander H- HDR 2

This was taken for the HDR assignment and it was taken outside the gyms in the courtyard. It was taken with Mr. Rigsby’s Canon T7. I edited it by adding the 3 pictures together with the different exposures making an HDR and picked the detailed filter on the Photomatix app. I feel like It could be a bit better if I had zoomed ina little more just capturing the lights and doors on the wall.

Helen S- Hiking Gals

I titled my image “Hiking Gals”. I took this on my Iphone 12 pro max. Me and my friend Emma went hiking at Moss Rock and wanted to take some photos for class. I think this image could be more detailed and centered but overall I like this image.

Milan S - Group Photo

I titled this Group Photo. This was taken in Inglewood, CA, on June 19th, 2024. I took this with my Iphone 15 Pro Max. I turned down the brightness to make it look clearer and then used the vignette tool to make it darker around the edges. It would be better if it was clearer.

Reagan P - Pose

The title of this image is “Pose”. This was taken with my Sony camera and was taken on December 19 at Oak Mountain High School. The only editing I did was cropping the image and I feel like the image could be better once I remove the people on the right side.

Harleigh P - Yawning

 No Stetement provided

Remo M - See-Thru

This picture is called “See-Thru” and it was taken with a Canon Ax700. It was taken on January 30th, 2025. I wanted to create a scene where the killer and his victim are looking at each other through a car. I think I achieved the concept pretty well although te image is a little grainy and I the mask is a little too bright.

Michelle R- Ford

The name of this photo is called Ford the car brand. It was taken outside my house and it was my dads truck on February 15. And it was taken with my Canon camera. I lightened the letters while also darkening the areas around the logo. What would have made it better? I feel if there was better lighting and if I had cleaned it up a bit more before taking the photo.

Spencer S - SRT

I took this shot with my Sony A7iii and the kit lens (28-70mm) at a legal slide pit in Calera. I’m still getting the hang of using the camera at night. In editing, I brightened up the image and made some minor adjustments to the car. I also added a couple of linear gradients to make the flames pop.

Chris H- Luminous

The title of this image, “Luminous” I took these photos in the Photography room months ago. I think I took these photos with my phone. I edited these photos in the Photoshop App. I wish the cropping of the red arm could be better. But besides that, I’m very happy with the results of this photo.

Brooke L- Drip

I titled this picture Drip. I took sometime in January in my bathroom. This was taken with my sony camera and I edited out some smudges on the mirror and other things in the background. I also added a blue tint to the picture. I think this could’ve been better if it had a different background or different lighting.

Emily K - Old Ladies

This image is titled “Old Ladies” and was taken with my Canon Rebel t7 at Aldridge Gardens on January 30, 2025. I did not do much editing other than warming the whole picture and brightening the subjects. I loved how the sun shone and created rays in the background, giving it a dreamy feel. This picture represents girlhood because these women have been friends their whole lives. I wish the trees were not as dead, but other than that let me know your thoughts. Overall, this was a very fun photoshoot and I am very happy with this image.

Shelby S- Soul Reflection

The title of this image is called “Soul Reflection”. It was taken looking into the E-hall hallway, but I was outside. It was taken during 7th period on Tuesday (2/18). It was taken with Mr. Rigsby’s canon camera. I edited it by turning the temperature down, tweaking the black and white point, and adding texture. I could’ve tried to make the inside more visible compared to the outside being seen better.

Mylin F- The Ride Back Home

The title of this photo is called The Ride Back Home. It was taken in my friend's car during the afternoon. it was taken with my canon. I edited it by adjusting the brightness. it could be better if it was focused more

Dylan T- Process

I call this image processing. I took it of Mr. Rigsby with his Canon Rebel t7. I didn’t do much to it but mess with the colors a bit and darken the backdrop i felt like it encases the emotion pretty well but I am open to suggestions

Elyssa W - Locked In

This photo was taken on January 25th in the wrestling room. I titled it locked in since it was a match day and the boys tend to get focused before. It was taken with my Nikkon D3400 and I used Photoshop to edit a few spots specifically. I wish I would have cropped the bottom but overall I am happy with how it turned out.

Ella H- Dancing Flowers

The name of this image is “Dancing Flowers” I used images from earlier this school year to create this photo. I removed the flowers from their original background and placed them on a solid black background. I then created layers of each flower and added blur filters to each. I repeated this process until I was pleased with how they looked.

Evie G - Stepping Stones

This is my photo “Stepping Stones”. I took this picture with my cannon ax700 at a waterfall behind my house. I edited the image by cropping it and adding a sunlight filter to really make the orange and yellow colors of the image pop. What I would have done differently is up the exposure on my camera when taking the image.

Sophia H- Paint Splash

The title of this selected image is called paint splash. It was taken in the photography studio in February. It was taken by an iPhone 11 and edited on Photomatix after taking 3 HDR bracketed photos, merging them, and then applying a filter that changed the composition and color effects. I’m not sure how much better it can be, but I am pleased with the result.

Maya H - god in the laundry chute

This photo is a composite I made for the Composite assignment in January. It consists of photos that I took; a photo looking up a laundry chute, a photo of curtains, and a photo of a ceramic cat (god) peeking over the edge of a bookshelf. After combining these photos, I added the posterize filter.

Daniel F- Shin Awakening

This photo is titled Shin Awakening. This photo was taken January 24, 2025 on my desk for the sustained investigation. I took this photo with my Iphone 16 camera. This photo required a lot of editing. I started off with changing the color of the back, mouth, and other areas to purple instead of the base red of the original figure. I did this to match the movie scene from Shin Godzilla where his back lights up and he fires a radioactive fireball at the ground that engulfs the city and then he later focuses into a beam. After changing the color I applied the background which I turned the opacity down for and blurred to make it seem further away. The final touch which brings this whole photo together was I added the flame and smoke effects using the smoke effect brush and also rendering clouds. I also used gradients to add the feeling of radiating heat. I think it could be better if I had a little more time to go around and smooth up some edges to make it fit better. I have also noticed I forgot to add foreground clouds to make the smoky effect. This photo was one of my favorites and one that I really enjoyed because I got to use a large majority of my techniques I’ve learned over the years to get it to this final product. I also took this photo as a challenge because the base photo is absolutely nothing like this final version which I think is pretty cool.

Eleanor B- Colored Castle

This was taken while I was babysitting, it was a race car toy pictured through a glass crystal. I took it with my phone and furthered the fractals by adding more of a kaleidoscope element + overlaying it all with the crystal texture. I could’ve been more creative with the image because it had lots of unique colors and shapes.

Emma B- SHY DONKEY KONG CORE

This image was taken in the studio at school at 1:22 PM on Feb 11, 2025. It was taken with my iPhone 11 Pro Max using flash. I edited this image by cropping it and using the auto settings in the photos app. It could’ve been better if I cleaned up the background. This is a photo of my best friend Sophia.

Dalia A-H- Forever Young

I named this Image Forever Young because it reminds me of the album cover from the song. I also named it this because I think in this photo my dad looks very wise here. I took this with my Canon Rebel T1i and my dad was just sitting on the couch and I asked if I could take a photo of his eyes. I edited this photo in ways that would accentuate the spots and wrinkles on his face. I made this photo black and white so that the contrast would be more noticable and I also thought it was fitting.

Milan S- Cathedral

The title is Cathedral. I took this in Austin, Tx on Jan 17, 2025. This was taken with my Iphone 16 pro max. While I was taking the photo I turned down the exposure to make it darker and appear clearer. It would be better if the street pole wasn’t directly in front of the cathedral, overall I like the photo.

Reagan P - Take a Bow

The title of this image is “Take a Bow” and it was taken with my camera on December 21, 2024, at Oak Mountain High School. This photo is not edited. I did not feel that it needed to be, the only thing I might do is slightly crop it and edit the lighting.

Harleigh P - Sisters

I named this image “Sisters” because these two cats are sisters. One is super fluffy (Ramona), and the other isn’t (Hazel), but they both have the same face. This image perfectly represents siblings. There are similarities but also differences.

Kenn J- Kids

The title of the image is called Lil’ Cuzzo’s. The photo was taken during the Christmas break on the back outside of my house. It was taken with a Digital Camera borrowed from Mr. Rigsby. I changed the contrast and the saturation of the image and then edited the brightness to dull it down some. I think the location of the picture could be better and the attire.

Kye W - Last Minion Standing

The image, titled “Last Minion Standing,” appears to have been taken during winter, featuring a snow-covered fire hydrant. While the specific location, date, and device used to capture the photo are unknown, it seems likely the image was taken with a digital camera or smartphone and heavily edited for artistic effect. The editing includes high contrast, saturated colors (blue and yellow), a grainy overlay, and a vignette to draw focus to the hydrant. The whimsical editing style gives the hydrant a humorous resemblance to a “minion.” To enhance the image, reducing the grain for a cleaner appearance, balancing the saturation, and straightening the composition could improve its overall quality. Despite this, the current surreal and playful vibe adds charm and creativity to the piece.

Aleli S- Leaves

I took this photo in Moss Rock sometime in September I really like this photo I love how dark it is and how much the green stands out something I could do differently next time is making it lighter to see how it would look

Edgar E- Snowman

This photo was on January 10, it was taken outside in the middle of the street when the snow was melting, me and friends made this snowman, it was taken with my iPhone, I edited it by putting an effect and less darkness and contrast.

Zykeria M- The Green World

The title I chose for this Image is The Green World. The reason I chose that title is because of ofcourse all the green that’s going on in the photo. I took this photo on July 14, 2023.I was in the country to visit a couple of family members. I took it with my iphone 13. I think it looks pretty good for the model. The only thing I did to edit this photo was brighten it up a bit and make it a little more green by changing the filter using photoshop. I think this photo could be better if there were a flock of birds in the sky.

Zander H - Flower on a Date

This was taken at a fancy sushi restaurant in the Avalon in Alpharetta, Georgia. This was taken with my iPhone 15. I edited this photo by slightly increasing the saturation and barely increasing the brightness to make the color of the flower pop a bit more. It could’ve been better if it was taken on my camera or at different angles.

Anthony S M- The Final

So what I did at the start is I got my collectible and I made them did pose from the TV series after that I added a little bit of glow effect and details around them I made his skin tone a little dark but light at the same time and I made his outfit and a much shader of a different type of blue and then I changed a little bit more of his outfit I made his gloves and boots a little more lighter made the yellow part a little more golden mesh and I also added a aura around him mix with blue lightning that I added different types of layers over it to make it seem coming at you or something like thatI also added the dust effect to make it seem like all the power that he has is just flowing away and in the background I added a TV series but at the same time I also made it darken by coloring different layers of black and then overlay it But overall I really like how I did this and I wish I could probably do a little more but I am proud of it.

Elyssa W - Snow Day

I titled this image “Snow Day” and this image was taken in Locust Fork on my friend's property. It was taken on January 11th on my iPhone 15 Pro and I chose not to edit it. I was happy with the warm tone and the way the sun was peeking through the trees. I do wish however the snow wasn't so melted.

Maggie O- Stranded

This photo is called Stranded. I took it with my Canon t-7, on January 10 during the snow day. It’s a picture of my neighbor's truck, covered in snow. To edit it, I lowered the saturation of the photo, but raised the saturation and vibrance of the red in the truck to draw attention to the contrast between the truck and the snow. I then used the Analog Efex to add more light coming down from the trees. I could have made the snow a bit brighter and removed the branch covering the hood, but otherwise I'm extremely happy with this photo.

Remo M - Hand Carving

The title of my image is “Hand Carving” and it was taken on a Canon EOS M50. I took 2 separate pictures one of my friend's hand with fake blood on it and the weapon in between their fingers, and the other one was my killer with his hands down to make it seem like he was holding the weapon. I edited by making the mask green and lowering the hooks of the weapon further down the hand. After I lowered the hooks I edited the model's hand to make it look like the hooks are digging into their hand.

Brook L- Bottles, Bottles, Bottles

I titled this “Bottles, Bottles, Bottles” . This was taken in my room a couple of weeks ago and it is a picture of three red flower vases. I put a blue tint over the photo and took away some water splotches. I think this could've been better if I had better lighting or had a more flexible area to position the vases.

Paige L - Woah

The name of this image is “Woah”. It was taken in the back room of the digital photography classroom. It was taken December 3rd 2024. It is taken with a iphone 14 pro max. I changed it to be black and white and toned down just a bit with exposure

Ella H- Bottle Pour Draft

This image is a draft image for my AP Sustained Investigation. I took this image in the studio with Mr. Rigby’s camera. To take this photo, the studio was completely dark and the camera was set to a shutter speed that allowed the light to pour from one bottle to another; the shutter speed was around 30-45 seconds long. I used light fibers to “paint” the light in the photograph. Because this is a draft, not much editing has been done. The only editing I have done so far is decreasing the exposure and increasing the vibrance and saturation.

Evie G - Fountain

This photo is named “Fountain”. I took this image with my iPhone 13 in early December at the University of North Alabama. I saturated the image to give the image a dreamlike and nostalgic feel. I also edited some of the people in the background out to eliminate distractions. I wish I could have gotten a clearer shot of the fountain and made the background a little brighter.

Mylin F- Gold Water

The  title for this image is Gold Water. This was taken in my backyard. I took this with my Canon and I edited this picture by using the black and white filter then recoloring the parts the waters touches

Daniel F- Perfect Organism

The title of this photo is Perfect Organism which is inspired by the quote from the movie Alien which is also where the Xenomorph in the photo is from. This was taken with my phone inside my house using a lamp as background lighting. I took this photo with my iPhone 16 in portrait mode on December 4th 2024. To edit this I upped the contrast and darkened the shadows to get the silhouette effect. Then I changed some colors and upped the saturation a lot to get the interesting colors seen in this photo. After all that I added in the light rays shown in the photo then I also added in smoke effects. I think this could have been better if I had been able to get rid of the black bar behind the front of the head in the photo. I was inspired by Alien Romulus for this photo and my main goal for this was to get a really good silhouette of the inside of the skull behind the clear dome which I think turned out well. For this photo I used my Mezco One:12 Collective Xenomorph figure.

Nathan E - Mind Mapped

This is showing the complexity of the mind and how we travel roads in many places and each place has a memory attached. Its of my friend with a globe from a store that I combined into one photo.

Shelby S - Heart Of The Soil

The title of this image is called Heart of the Soil. The images were taken in the studio and at Moss Rock, and the nature picture blended in was taken in August while the human pictures were taken sometime in November or December. These were all taken with Canon cameras. I edited this picture by using different blending modes and using subtle changes with the Camera Raw Filter app. I could’ve found better photos to use for this composite image and probably different editing techniques.

Michelle R - sky

The name of this photo is the sky. It was taken in Bessemer on 10 January. This photo was taken with my phone. I edited this with tones down lighting and darkened the clouds. I feel it would have been much better if I was closer and got specific details.

Emma B- Snow Day

This image was taken in my backyard on Jan 10, 2025 at 3:17 PM. The image was taken with my Canon EOS R8. I didn't edit this image at all. If I were to, I would adjust the contrast, exposure, highlights, shadows, etc. This was the first snow day of the new year!
