Alexa S- Downtown Pensacola
This picture was taken on my Canon SL1 in downtown Pensacola. I didn’t edit this picture very much, but I made it a little warmer and cropped it as well. I think this photo could be better if the glass on the building had a better reflection of the clouds as it did in person.

Stephanie T- Lost
This photo I edited it and mixed different type of features such as 3D object, crop image inserted to fit the style, and writing by hand. It was taken with a Canon Rebel T1i the original photo and with photoshop. It was edited by taking the center image crop from the original uncentering it and placing 3D object transparency over it, used star stamp for the corners and used the drawing tablet to write the letters, and inverted the background color. I think it could have been better if the crop out edges was a bit cleaner.
Omar T- What's the Move
This Photo was taken at Miami Beach FL it was taken with my Canon Rebel T6 I used of the iPhoto filters which gave the photo better color. I think I could have edited the photo better by adding a different filter or positioning myself better. Overall I like this photo how it is and the look of it.
Morgan H - Little Tikes
This image is entitled ‘Little Tikes’ because, it reminds me of childhood. Obviously, me and my brother had used this tricycle when we were kids and just looking at it fills me with nostalgia. I took this photo in my front yard with my Canon T6, and I had only edited it by enhancing the colors and adjusting the tone a bit.

Katie N- Lower Falls
I call this picture “Lower Falls” because that is the name of this water fall in Yellow Stone. I took it with my Canon T6 in July this past summer. I edited it by adding saturation and contrasts to add detail and texture to the picture. I feel like it could be better if the clouds were darkened.
Katie H - Candle
The title pf this image is “Candle.” This was taken in my house during the hands and feet assignmnet. It was a picture of my mom lighting a candle. It was taken with a nike camera. I edited it by cropping it to put the focus on the candle. I also edited it by messing around with lighting, saturation, hue, etc. It could be better if I adjusted the levels a little more.

Hillary A.- Reaching Out
This is called reaching out because it looks like the hands are reaching towards each other. I edited this picture by first brightening up the picture, then by using the dodge and burn tools, and then I went into the Nik collection and used the filter, solarization.
Yuliana Z- Cleo's Cold Shoulder
The title of this photo is Cleo’s Cold Shoulder. This was taken at my house on September 17th. I used my Canon EOS Rebel T6. To edit the photo I cropped in closer on Cleo, I went into Nik Collection and used Viveza 2, brightened the photo, added some structure, increased the saturation, and added some extra contrast. I liked the different perspective in this picture. To me it’s more about Cleo’s fur then about her. It’s also pretty accurate to how dogs react to getting their picture taken sometimes which I think is funny. The picture could be better the rest of Cleo’s fur was more in focus but I kinda like how it’s really just her ear.
Jake D- "Empty"
This image is a new one for a project I am doing. I like to just call it “Empty”
The image itself is not too complicated but I feel like it sends a compelling message. I used a Pentax K200, which I have never used before and I was impressed with the quality. I liked it raw and unedited, but once I edited it, the picture became so much cooler. I used the smart sharpen feature in photoshop and I am now obsessed with it. I suggest you all check it out.
Anyways I hope you like my picture *insert cowboy emoji here*

Hannah R - Bubbles
This picture is called bubbles because it’s a photo of carbonated drink close up. I don’t remember when I took it. I used a Nik collection filter to enhance the color. I then brightened up the image and increased contrast. I also sharpened it so the bubbles seemed more defined. I overall like the image but I feel like I could have made it more clear.
Emily R- Wandering to Oblivion
The title of this image is Wandering to Oblivion, this was taken in a field near hoover about a month ago. It was taken with my cannon T6. I put my sky picture that I took back in December over the sky, because it was blown out. I could have fixed the trees a little better, but overall I like how this picture turned out.

Olivia N-Standstill
The title of the image is Standstill and was taken in April 2019 in Hoover, AL and was taken on my phone. I edited the picture in Photoshop using Nik Collection. I added a filter and sharpened the image then, increasing the saturation and adding a vignette to the image in order to make it more detailed. The image could be better if the saturation wasn’t as high and if the image wasn’t shot so closely.
Ainsley M- Fenway Park
The title of the picture is Fenway Park because that’s where it was taken. It was taken back in June when I was at a Boston Red Sox’s game and with a Nikon d3500. I edited it by using a vsco filter, as well as increasing the brightness and contrast. I think it could be better if it was taken at a wider angle and if it was more symmetrical.
Deebaj F- For the Lab
I took this picture at the Cahaba River yesterday for the lab of Environmental Science. This picture was taken with my Canon Rebel T6. I edited this by decreasing brightness, increasing contrast and shadow to pop up the fishes.

Hayden H- Hands
I chose this image, and it is obviously named “Hands”
This image was taken in Mr. Rigsby’s studio with his camera. I really like this photo because it looks like it was straight out of a horror movie. My goal was to try and make this photo distorted, and bright.

Zach B. - Life
This is a photo that I had when I was working on the site assignment and ended up not using. I saw some potential in the photo and it even led me to my decision for my AP portfolio. For editing I burned the entire photo and brightened the center of the leaves and a portion of the sky. I only wanted key points of the photo to stick out and that is why I focused on the leaves and their veins. I guess the only thing I don’t really like about this photo would be the amount of blank blue space.

Mollie E- "Gorilla"
This image is titled “Gorilla” because that is what is pictured here. I took it at Animal Kingdom in Disney World the first week un August. I took it with my Nikon d3400. I edited this image on my iPad at home using Photoshop Express and the Lightroom app. This image could be better because there is a purple area over by the mouth due to the glare on the glass that I couldn’t completely get rid of. I tried to edit this image in Photoshop on the Mac, but I didn’t like the way the image kept turning out.
Anna S- I Love You
I took this image at Music Midtown with my phone. I titled this image, “i love you” because it is the title of my favorite Billie Eilish song. Her team handed out these neon green cut-out hearts for us to fan ourselves with while we were waiting on her to preform because it was so hot. I really loved how this image turned out, and I love Billie.

Faye M- Nervous
The title of my selected image is ‘Nervous’ because the subject was wringing their hands in an anxious and nervous manner. It was taken about two weeks ago, in the beginning of September at my family reunion. It was taken with my Canon Rebel t6. I edited it mostly with the color Efex filter with multiple layers of low key, a slight blur vignette and the detail extractor. Also did a layer of overlay where I dozed and burned the highlights and shadows to give a subtly more dramatic contrast. I wish that the hand on the left was more detailed but I am otherwise content with this picture. A word to the wise, humans, I think, are best captured when as candid as possible, that’s the easiest way to get the most emotion, even in something as simple as hands wringing together.
Anna Claire H - Lake Days
I call this photo Lake Days. I took this during the end of summer at Lake Guntersviille. I took it with my Canon Eos Rebel XS. I edited by adjusting the tone and contrast. The thing I would change is maybe the prespective.
