Ethan S - Days Long Past

This image is entitled Days Long Past. While I was editing this photo, I pictured myself going through picture albums in the distant future and finding this picture, hence the name. It was taken in the lunch room sometime early August after a pep rally. I edited it with the Nik 6 Analog Efex, I placed the bars over the eyes, and I did some additional blurring. I feel like if I could mess with it a little more it could be better, but I am quite happy with the results.

Caroline S - Collide

The title of my image is Collide and it was taken in the studio on November 3rd. I took it with my Nikon D3100 and I edited it by putting a filter on it. It could have been better if I had experimented with the shutter speed a bit more.

Kais C- Paint My Walls

I took this at Hoover High School at a pillar at one of the back gates, It was taken with a Canon Rebel t7, I edited it in photoshop to specifically to get a flashlight kinda affect on it and then ending up with this and went to Lightroom to mess with it more to give more characteristics to it like paint. I wish i actually did paint the wall and could paint it, it would look more natural and not so fake.

Sophia H- Highscore

The title of this image is “Highscore.” I took this picture at Bumper Nets on November 10th, 2025. I took this picture with my iPhone 11 and edited it on Photoshop by changing the RGB levels and brightening the vibrant colors on the screen. I think it could have been better if I included more of the screen, but other than that, I really like this piece.

Maya H - Creature of the Night

This photo was taken in September of this year with my Canon Rebel SL1 camera; it is of a cat sitting under a car. I took it when me and my friends went to Hooters for one of their birthdays—there were a bunch of stray cats in the back parking lot, so I got some pictures of them. This photo is unedited, but I really like how it turned out.

Kaleb G- Leaves

I took it from my bathroom the photo was taken with my phone i edited with filtered it could be better if i could somehow add my detail

Nicholas T - Leaf Litter

The title of this image is “Leaf Litter”. It was taken in my front yard on Oct 23, 2025 at 8:32 am. The camera I used was a DSC-W800. I increased the contrast, brightness, and sharpness with the camera raw filter and Nik Collection filters. Now that I am looking at the image now I wish I could decrease, or just get rid of, the blue tint on some of the leaves.

Hayden C - 3 3 4

I chose to name this photo “3 3 4” after the numbers the two subjects in my photo are holding up. I took this with my Canon camera during the final summer fun show on September 6. I took my camera for the day and had fun taking photos of everything and everyone. I took up the contrast and lightened some of the shadows, as well as bringing down highlights. I wish I’d taken the photo without the tent in the frame.

Angel M- Flower

The title of this image is Flower. I took this photo in my backyard. It was taken with my Canon camera. I edited it by increasing the shadows and the brightness. It could have been better if I had gotten a shot without the loose tree branches in the background.

Anna G- Caroline

The title of my image is “Caroline” because that is the name of my friend who is the subject of the photo. The photo of Caroline was taken in the studio a couple weeks ago and the photo of the beach/ocean was taken at the beach during summer. The photo of Caroline was taken with my Nikon D5100 and the photo of the beach was taken with my iPhone. I edited this photo so the dark parts of the photo of Caroline were replaced by the image of the beach. I had to make part of the sky on the beach photo darker so the details on Caroline’s face would be more visible. I think this photo could be better if the photo of Caroline had more contrast so there would be less gray areas that are kind of half Caroline picture half beach picture. I originally wanted this to be a solem picture but Caroline couldn’t stop smiling in the photo so I changed it to be a more joyos photo

Victoria S- Loss of Passion

This image is called “Loss of Passion.” It was taken in my backyard on November 9th with my Nikon camera. I edited it in photoshop by adding an analog filter and frame over the photo, increasing the overall brightness of the photo, and increasing the saturation of the flowers. I think it could have been better if I showed more of the guitar. This photo is part of my Sustained Investigation 2 which is focusing on the movement of music and the loss of passion. The subject in my photo is an old guitar that used to belong to my cousin before he gave it to me after he quit music lessons. In my photo, I wanted to tell the story of how the guitar had been forgotten and abandoned by making it seem the earth was slowly reclaiming it.

Aleli S - The End

I took this photo of my friend Carson up in Homewood I fixed this photo by cropping it down to more on him so there is a lot less dead space and so you can see more shape and I made it darker so that it looks better and so the photo is less gray I slow added some orange lighting to make it look like it was at night

Finley B - Delicate

The title of my image is "Delicate." It was captured in the courtyard of Hoover High School last week. I adjusted the photo to brighten it and enhance its vibrancy, making the colors more vivid. I could have cropped the image further to improve its overall composition.

Ethan S - Sketched

This is Sketched, I took it outside in the courtyard about a week ago with my Nikon D40. I edited it with Nik 6 Analog Efex and dodging and burning. I think it would’ve been better if the foreground was slightly less blurry but otherwise I’m pretty happy with it.

Darnell C ~ Megatron's Goofy Ahh

I call this “Megatron’s goofy ahh”. I took this picture at my house during the Story Illustration project, as well as took the picture of my friend Nabeyal at school. I used my mom’s phone to take pictures of the Transformers, and I used the cut-out features and remove the backgrounds of the Action Figures, and used AI to mess around with my friend's face and make him stand instead of sitting, and I also made a PNG of a Megatron 2D drawing that i found online,  to put over the Megatron figure. I could’ve erased more of the white around Nabeyal, but I used multiple layers, so I ended up erasing his body, so ill’s make his body a PNG so that I can just keep the stuff I need.

Nabeyal K- The Hand.

The title of the image is called “The Hand”. I took this a few weeks ago in the Hands and Feet project. It was taken with a Revelty 7 Camera that Mr. Rigbsy gave us. I edited it using the Photoshop application on the Mac. It could be better by adding more darkness or by applying a few filters.

Kais C- Collage of Hands and Feet

It was all mostly taken at school inside the studio, It was taken with a cannon rebel t7, I edited them mostly in lightroom, I want more to do like more expression with the photos i wish i could have more to them I felt like I was lacking

Angel M. Untitled

I took this photo in my backyard. It was taken with my Canon camera. I edited it by increasing the shadows and increasing the saturation. It could have been better if I got a shot with water droplets on it since it rained right after I took this photo.

Shelby S- Mushroom Mind

This photo is called Mushroom Mind. It was taken in the school courtyard during 4th period. It was taken with Mr. Rigsby’s camera and his crystal lenses. I edited it by enhancing the colors with HDR Color and I used Camera Raw Filter to sharpen the photo and add dimension. I could’ve used different techniques and lenses to make the photo cooler.

Surya P - Jack and The Cat

This image was taken a couple weeks ago in my back yard. It was taken on my digital camera, which is a Kodak Pixpro fz55. I edited it by making the colors a bit more saturated and sharpened the image a little bit. I wish it was a little bit more focused on the cat because it looks a little blurry. But, overall I love the picture because me and my best friend made them together.

Hayden C - Hulk

This image is titled after its subject, a dog named hulk. He is the dog of one of the girls at my barn. He’s a rather shy dog, but he’s very cute and clearly loves his people. I mostly brought up the contrast and warmth to bring out the browns in his fur and also used the dodge tool on his eyes. I cropped the photo to focus more on him. I wish i’d been able to get a better angle of him, as this one is kind of awkward, although that’s difficult with how shy he is.

Kaleb G- Untitled

This was taken at home. I edited it by changing a filter to make it more red. If i could think of any other way to edit it would be better.

Anna G- Unraveled

The title of the selected image is “Unraveled”. This photo was taken at the beginning of summer in my house. This photo was taken with my Nikon D5100 camera. I edited this photo by making it grayscale and upping the contrast in certain areas. I think this photo could be better if the background was more simple so the focus is more on the subject.

Victoria S- Song of the Caged Bird

This image is titled “Song of the Caged Bird” and it is a part of my Sustained Investigation 1. It was taken in my room on October 13th late at night. I took this picture with my Nikon camera on a tripod. I used colored LED lights and fake candles as my light source. I edited my photo through photoshop by increasing the brightness and saturation of the colors. I think it would be better if there wasn’t so much color noise on my subject's face.

Rachel N - Migraineogenic

This is Migraineogenic. It was taken at my house, Oct 22, 2025. It was taken with my iPhone 15 Pro Max. I edited it by playing with the settings especially the saturation and the coloring. It could’ve been better if I lowered the saturation, it feels like there’s too much going on in the photo. When I was editing, staring at the photo makes my head ache. Hence, the name.

Nicholas T - Into the Deep

The title of this image is “Into the Deep.” It was made for my composite project last year. I took these images with my DSC-W800. I made it with an image of a basket, lamp, filters, and masking effects. I wish there was less black, empty space.

Aleli S- Marigolds

I took this photo last week. The person in the photo is a close family friend. We took it in her backyard. I really like this photo. I love how dark it is. If I had to change something, it would be the lighting on her. She’s a little dark, and the photo is a little yellow, but besides that, I really like this photo.
