Maggie O- Misty

This photo is called Misty. I took this photo on November 14 in the back studio room with Mr. Rigsby’s camera. I played around with light painting to try and create someone with an anonymous effect. It looks as if there is mist concealing him, hence the name “Misty”. To edit this, I upped the contrast, lowered the shadows, and enhanced the highlights. I could probably lower the highlights a little, as there are a few spots that look overly bright.

I love this photo! The effect caused by the light painting is really cool; it creates very interesting textures, shapes, and shadows.

This photo is super cool! I like how it sort of looks like lightning. The textures and shadows are also different which I like. Overall, I think this photo looks good!

I really love this image. I love the whimsical feel the light painting gave it. There's not much I would change just maybe bringing the light painting higher. Overall I really like this image!

Your explanation of the photo "Misty" is very engaging! It sounds like you put a lot of thought and creativity into the process. Here’s a possible response that acknowledges your efforts and provides a little constructive feedback:

The concept behind Misty is intriguing, and I love the way you've used light painting to create an anonymous, ethereal effect. The misty, almost ghost-like appearance works perfectly with the idea of obscuring identity while still conveying presence. It’s also great that you’re reflecting on the editing process. Adjusting the contrast and highlights to enhance the mood was a smart choice, though I agree with your point about the overly bright spots — slightly reducing those highlights could help maintain the mysterious tone you’ve created. Overall, this image really draws the viewer in and leaves room for interpretation, which is what makes it so compelling. Great work!

I really like what youve done with this i really like the way everything just looks like a ghost of a person its really cool the only thing i would suggest is the little shade on his lips and skin maybe make it black and white to match to give it the full ghost effect but i love how you did everything
